Posted at 11/1/2024 15:21 by 1c3479z seems that ii is encouraging investors to sell,they say, although the shares can be held on their platform, once they're listed on TISE they will not deal in them and will endeavour to issue share certificates so 'investors may wish to consider selling their shares before Feb 19'. as mine are in an ISA as well as the general account, I definitely do not wish to receive a share certificate as that would represent a withdrawal from the ISA and would then have to find a broker and pay a packet and get a bad price if minded at any time to sell. therefore have emphatically voted against both proposals for what its worth and expressed the view that wish to have the shares meanwhile retained on the platform even if they can't be dealt. All in all an absolute debacle! there are lots of small property cos eg SMJ< WSP CDFF and have to hope that none of these are minded to follow suit-it's completely unfair to the small shareholder! the LSE must make it more attractive for the minnows to remain listed, you never know some may grow to be much larger enterprises. |
Posted at 09/1/2024 09:49 by 1tx The latest Thompson article does not seem to be behind a paywall so I have been able to read it.There are a couple of problems for new & existing shareholders that ST has not considered if HCFT moves to TISE.Whilst TISE shares are eligible to be held in an ISA it is not clear whether the typical ISA platforms that most investors use allow you to hold or deal TISE listed shares in them.If you cannot then the yield you get is rather less attractive as it is subject to TAX.I would also point out that the move to TICE is rather less likely to go through than Thompson suggests as the shares also have to reach the 50% vote acceptance level excluding Kingerlee holding.If I get the opportunity to vote I will not be voting in favour as whilst it might lower operating costs and has the potential to slightly increase dividend it is likely to reduce capital value of shares as even fewer investors are likely to be interested in the shares. |

Posted at 29/4/2020 11:04 by 1tx It is worth remembering that 42% of shares are owned by Director David Kingerlee & his "concert party" & 22% by property investors DG & MB Conn & associated parties.The latter control the previously listed Stewart & Wight property company in which the minority shareholders were bought out a couple of years ago(at a fair price).The above have huge interest in the success of the company.I expect results will be released in due course.We more or less know the revenue for the year & I expect all rental has been collected for the the first 3 months.I think the directors are right to wait as long as possible to get best picture of future rental income prospects before considering a dividend (loan interest cover has to be considered).It is not a simple yes/no choice as being a REIT we would have to pay Corporation Tax on our profits if we did not pay. |

Over the medium-term, once we have some direction, IMO that pent-up cash should again stimulate the sector. |
