                                ISSUE OF EQUITY                                

Hidefield Gold plc (the "Company" or "Hidefield") announces that it has issued
and allotted 35,000 ordinary shares of 1p each ("Ordinary Shares") at a price
of 5.38p per share to each of Robert Ashley and Francis Johnstone, both of whom
are Non-Executive Directors of the Company, in lieu of directors' fees.

Following the issue, Robert Ashley is interested in 386,000 shares in the
Company (representing 0.14 per cent. of the enlarged issued share capital), of
which 281,000 are held in the name of Dewden Pty Limited, and Francis Johnstone
is interested in 1,686,000 shares (representing 0.61 per cent. of the enlarged
issued share capital), of which 1,500,000 shares are held in the name of Rock
Capital Partners Limited.

Following the issue and allotment of the 70,000 new Ordinary Shares, there are
275,322,651 Ordinary Shares in issue. Application will be made for the 70,000
new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to AIM and it is expected that admission
will occur on 8 January 2008.
