Posted at 05/11/2013 08:30 by nil desperandum I can't find my notes but I have a feeling I was expecting a little more than that. We've has 113+150=263 ... so total likely to be 373-383p. I think I was expecting a little closer to 400p. Still that will be a conservative estimate. And either way, HPEQ has done us well! |

Posted at 04/11/2013 17:32 by asmodeus I have just spoken to the HPEQ Liquidator, who assures me that all the cheques (for 150p per share) have been paid out, but Nominees often hold on to them before paying out to shareholders. He conforms that shares cannot now be sold, and the final payment of approx. 110/120p will not be made until next spring/summer |

Posted at 07/1/2013 18:39 by badtime I was supposed to have had a communication from their senior management team today...needless to say nothing transpired....my point was that if as has been seen from here other people got 89% from the same broker then why havent you or i received that percentage on our 'settled' portion of the holding? In respect of HPEQ i'm not currently bothered..but to me its the principal for future tender offers.I did send u a email this morning re above |
Posted at 27/12/2012 18:32 by eeza Yes, Sky - amazing to look back - with hindsight we'd all be millionaires, Rodney. - Lol !!Had my own succesess and failures in punts but now find more satisfaction in finding shares where the downside is limited - as in SL/ PE. Trying to emulate your asset allocation, but my pension income isn't sufficient so need Div income to supplement (Like RECi which I got into @ 93p after relentless badgering by you - Lol !! - thank you very much.) So allocation is approx 50% to div - PCTN, RECI, SREI, RUSP. But had a lot of satisfaction from HPEQ which I first bought @ 313p - after rec from you. Have recycled some funds back into it. And just bought into JPEL today. Over New Year holiday you may like to research a company called IOF - Iofina. Has a very interesting position in the niche market of Iodine - surprising amount of uses, some of which are unique and can't be replicated. But what is also very interesting is their water rights - which could be a massive earner due to the fracking boom in America. Amazing amount of research contained in the header, and especially from poster SuperG1 , and BB is one of the best on ADVN. I would be interested in your views on IOF if you decide to take a look. I hold shares in IOF at av of 66p - so very happy with progress so far !! So Happy New Year to all - please keep posting your views & rationale, so that us less savvy individuals can also prosper. |

Posted at 07/8/2012 14:40 by davebowler Liberum :Yesterday, HPEQ announced the transfer of its interest in Parallel Ventures LP 2006 Annual Pool, to a third party for cash consideration of £5.2m, with the transaction expected to close today. n The manager also highlights that HPEQ has received £480k of cash distributions from its interest in the fund since 31 March 2012, being the reference date for the transfer. n Parallel was HPEQ's second largest holding and accounted for 10.7% (£6.96m) of HPEQ's £65m NAV as at 30 June and given its co-investment focus there was likely a limited pool of potential acquirers for HPEQ's interest in the fund. n However, whilst it is positive that the fund continues to make progress against its realisation strategy, after incorporating the recently received distributions we estimate the disposal has been achieved at an c.18% loss to its most recent carrying value. We think this will be slightly disappointing for shareholders given that the portfolio is marked at its estimated realisable value. n Adjusting for this realisation and the recent 7.4p dividend, we estimate that the shares are now trading at a c.12% discount to the last reported NAV. However, given that 39.9% of the June NAV was attributed an interest in the 2001 vintage Rutland Fund I, and that this fund holds only two remaining portfolio companies (2005 and 2006 vintage deals), we wouldn't be surprised to see realisations from this fund over the short to medium term and continue to think that there is upside to HPEQ's current share price. n This week the company is also due to announce the price (95% of the yet to be announced July NAV per share) at which it will tender for up to 30% of the shares in issue. |
