It is a criminal offence for a company to trade whilst insolvent. The punishment if caught is severe. It includes large fines levied against the directors and imprisonment. The directors actively swiftly today to cover thier backs.

HML is not a company that has creditors banging on the door. It is not a company that is in default of its banking covenants and faces a winding up order. It is a company that has simply run out of working capital to see it through to a commercial deal.

If there is enough you, you could probably raise sufficient capital to see them through to the end of the year. Its the last throw of the dice. Speak to the company, see how much they need.

The ray of hope is that the appointment of an administrator does not need to automatically result in the winding up of the company, as they are charged with the responsibility to find the best outcome for all parties be they creditors or shareholders. Again, I do hope that they are able to salvage something from this situation for you.

What are your thoughts on SPAH's involvement with KHV? What has kept me believing is that here is the one known name ( amongst all the others ) involved with a vaccine that we have been told has a high 90's% efficacy. Surely this has to be then true if they are using SPAH's name? This over a year ago. Would SPAH's morals then be so low that they would shaft HML.They could surely support HML for peanuts. What is/has been going on ? KMS doesn't surprise me following on from the other suspects but this one ???

A good question and one for which I do not have the answer, I would need to speak to someone to clarify. Perhaps another poster will be better placed to advise.

Dutch, they are going through the motions. The first RNS was issued to suspend the shares as they were insolvent, the second RNS confirmed the first and that they planned to appoint an administrator having taken relevant advice and then the third issued late in the day confirmed that as planned they have filed the required notice to appoint an administrator.

Yes they will continue to explore options to raise funds in the intervening period but with the company suspended and insolvent it is unlikely IMO that it would be forthcoming now, when they have not been able to secure it over the past couple of months.

dutch, as per my post the other day, the nomad were being proactive by maintaining daily contact with the BOD, given that this had been taken to the wire and was becoming a material issue.

I really do hope for you that they come up with the required funding ASAP but on the basis that it was a funding RNS that they were struggling to conclude back in July, in all honesty I would be surprised if they can pull it out of the hat now.

even the mm's did not know this was comming, or else there would have been a mass sell off, the mm's were quite content in buying up the shares, for 0.007 / 0.008. the last main SELLS were late yesterday pm, approx 3.2 million shares. then this morning, suspension. maybe the HML BOD were scared any more sells, the share would be suspended by the NOMAD, so HML called in themselves to suspend the share. then late on day, to issue another rns (more expense) to say that they are still trying to salvage something for shareholders. note well, AK & IP, are the two largest shareholders, who have the most to loose by far. so they will be very keen to salvage something.
how long is the "period" granted ? one week, two weeks, one month any ideas ? with no share trading now, we all have a very anxious wait and see time ahead of us. Pranch - there was not long ago, that you were quite close to AK, had several tele cons with him, have you tried calling him again ?

dutch. Sorry to hear of your news. I have only put in here what I can afford to lose. As with all speculative punts, such as hML there's always been a chance we could lose all our investment. I lost £100k on ETQ but thought I'd learn this time and avoid making the same mistake again. Unfortunately despite my best efforts through research it wasn't to be again.

sweepie. I spoke to Neil Baldwin. Seems a very open and honest guy. If you google him you can get his number. I emailed him and he offered to speak to me to give me an update. I hope you will see that what I put in the email more or less is echoed in the late pm rns.

pranch. seems like kms and the other party on icvt both failed to deliver the cash goods that they promised. If they had any other agenda we'll never know but needless to say KMS reputation is finished as well if the deal doesnt materialise (which looks likely).

I feel our key hope is that someone like SPAH will be persuaded to put some upfront cash in.. say £200k and the other backers will put in say £300k in order to complete the animal health development in order to sell it pdq.

still a very long shot as ever... perhaps clutching at straws but with the prospect of seeing £120k disappear its not really a surprise

pranch - we all make our own decisions. likewise i too lost a lot of money (£85K), two years ago lost £57K in Woolworths. i am totally finished, all my life savings gone, and no retirement fund to look forward to, as i felt i will make my own money for retirement, by investing DIRECT into the stockmarket.
but, still there maybe be hope we might salvage something here..hope is all i have left....

The fruits - no offence but what Dolphin Brewin tell us must by nature of the issues highlighted above - necessitate caution and the need to adopt a dual approach of listening but also questioning and probing.

As the posts indicate above - there are issues for the company BOD and the Nomad to answer. Still much vagueness on this so far. Why?

This has still a lot to play for.

Your efforts nonetheless are much appreciated - but this is fundamentally a group effort - if this goes down we all lose. Not just one individual.
