With 1 - 3 million shares traded every day, I wouldn't call that lack of interest. Neither would I call a BB without a plethora of inane comments 'lack of interest'.

Tipped in press:

Henderson Group's first-quarter trading statement had no real surprise for investors yesterday. Assets under management of £60.5bn at the end of the period were 1.9% down from the quarter before. In the volatile markets of the first quarter, that performance was solid with decent flows into the company's absolute return funds and retail funds. The main news was the Henderson is pressing ahead strongly with integrating Gartmore, the rival manager It bought last month. Buy.

Almost 1/5 voted against the Directors paying themselves silly money, and lots of other resolutions in the Directors' favour got frowned upon - and it looks like more and more Directors are being told to watch their step (see XTA's AGM report).

Henderson seem to be holding their own in a tough market. They seem to have a good range of investment vehicles and better than average performance. The New Star Asset Management purchase looked fairly opportunistic and a good deal. Sounds like they have deferred any decision on the 2009 dividend and dividend policy until the interims in August. Disappointing, but understandable I suppose.

Down by the dividend to start, now rapidly clawing it back.

Spoke too soon.

Looks a good deal for Henderson. The market likes it as well. Yielding nearly 10% as well.

If they are willing to offer enough this one could become a lot bigger.
