09/3/2020 15:33 | Worth looking at VTA -Volta as an alternative? | davebowler
08/11/2019 15:12 | Back to a discount. Not a great deal of cover for the dividend but should be safe. Will tuck a few away for the time being. | 8w
17/4/2019 14:33 | Well done @topvest - yes, back at a premium, can't see that it justifies that. Nearly 60% in high yield corporate bonds, and got to be nearer the top than the bottom. | spectoacc
17/4/2019 12:24 | I’m out of this. Held for 10 years for income and a 30% gain, but there are far better places to put your money. Not sure it will ever recoup its capital losses and get back over a £1. Not much point investing for income, if there is no prospect of capital growth and some risk of capital losses. | topvest
08/2/2019 16:24 | Yup, John Baron been ramping it, gone from a decent discount to NAV, to a decent premium, so I'm now out. Good luck holders. | spectoacc
17/12/2018 15:36 | Decent buying & rise today, my guess is a tip somewhere from one of the "gurus" - ST or John Barron or elsewhere. Have my own views on the tipsheeters, which I'll keep to myself :) | spectoacc
21/9/2018 15:08 | HDIV got included (again) in IC's top 100 funds. Have never owned but keeping an eye on them; hard to justify owning something that seems to fall in proportion to the divi paid out. No great surprise when the US 10yr is back over 3% I guess. | spectoacc
10/9/2018 09:15 | As at close of business on 6 September 2018, the unaudited net asset value per share (excluding current financial year revenue items) was 84.6p. | davebowler
02/1/2018 13:00 | PS Min. dividend guaranteed at 1.1p per qtr unless there is a substantial slide in interest rates. Yields c.4.55% at current price | ygor705
02/1/2018 12:57 | Income treated as interest NOT dividend so a good way to top up on family member's £1000 tax free allowances ........ even if a higher rate tax payer. Trustnet rates the fund as being only half as risky as the FTSE 1OO. All buyers today - even at a premium to net asset value. With US interest rates scheduled to rise, higher interest payments on US floaters should give HDIV a little more wriggle room to trade the rest of the portfolio without continuously having to look over its shoulder at its own dividend. | ygor705
12/9/2017 13:49 | Also sticking around. Performance relative to peers has been decent and I view the recent news as a cautionary preemptive move. The yield remains attractive enough and management appear decent. | hastings
08/9/2017 17:02 | 12% dividend cut, compensated to a small extent with a management fee cut. Reasoning seems sound, still a hold for me | 8w
28/4/2017 10:11 | The trust which was based in the Channel Islands has moved back to the UK to reduce administrative costs. Nothing else changes as far as the shareholders are concerned | daveofdevon
28/4/2017 09:04 | Could somebody explain to me what is happening with this trust? Too hard for me to understand. | contoul
09/3/2016 13:05 | RECI is still at a discount to NAV but HDIV at a premium. | davebowler
09/3/2016 12:52 | Underlying market price of assets - Same as other similar funds. | redsonning
04/3/2016 11:19 | Lost 10% of it's value this year ? what's going on ??? Anyone know......??????? | billywhizz1
18/12/2015 12:16 | Still at a premium -As at close of business on 16th December 2015, the unaudited net asset value per share, (calculated excluding current financial year revenue items) was 86.3p. Better value in JPSL,RECI, VTA, I think. | davebowler
31/3/2015 10:32 | Thanks. News gives 1.25p but Financials on ADVFN gives 1.35p. | eithin
31/3/2015 10:27 | I think the normal quarterly div was 1.25 but the year end div paid on Dec 31st was increased to 1.35p so nothing wrong with todays payment which is back to normal | daveofdevon
31/3/2015 10:19 | Anyone explain declared divi 1.35p yet only 1.25p paid today | eithin
21/2/2015 09:55 | Don't worry Lloyds ECN with Mark Tabor on the case, big fight all the way.Scandalous how CEO with his £7m bonus trying to screw pensioners who saved Lloyds Bank five years ago. | montyhedge
19/2/2015 14:13 | I sold my IPE and bought lloyds ECN's so you can imagine how I feel at the moment! | envirovision
19/2/2015 14:06 | I still hold NCYF and IPE. | rcturner2 |
