23/11/2020 12:03 | Discount to nav rapidly closing , back to c.3% | its the oxman
17/11/2020 16:45 | Standard life smaller companies also down heavily today - nearly 5%. Guess it must be a day of poor sentiment as well as the underlying assets falling. Had a bit of a strange day myself lots of shares moving by +/- 5% or more. Still better than all falling I guess. | dr biotech
17/11/2020 16:25 | Correction my purchase @ 915 not 115. | ec2
17/11/2020 16:24 | Very odd what's going on in these this afternoon. FTSE Mid250 down 0.6% yet these are off over 4%. No large buy orders seem to be going through the system. My purchased at 115p had to be done direct via the dealer. Perhaps something going on in the dark pools. | ec2
10/6/2020 09:56 | Everyone is sitting on cash. Interest rates are rock bottom.......what are the alternatives.... It is however interesting to compare lacklustre performance of Henderson Smaller still down some 22.5% since March 1100p peak against Herald Investment Trust ( small-cap media-tech) which had raced back to achieve a new all-time high of 1550p since the March sell-off. Although yesterday retraced to 1450p but still on par with pre-crash peak. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
10/6/2020 09:29 | Discount to NAV is about 10% here, that’s wider than recently but about the long term average. I’m sitting on a pile of cash - may add here soon. Not sure which way markets are going to go. | dr biotech
01/5/2020 14:07 | Kind of hoping this revisits 700p so I can add a few more. | its the oxman
29/4/2020 14:31 | HSL almost traded in line with nav at market peak. Suspect 5-7% discount could be the new normal. HSL is known for its decent track record so not expecting a double digit discount anytime soon. But just my view. Still c.50% gains from here c.750p if HSL can nudge back to old high just over 1100p | its the oxman
06/4/2020 07:58 | Current shareprice is just 5% below NAV ! | masurenguy
03/4/2020 10:15 | bought today at 665. Good points made by recent posters - and useful link to Masterinvestor. Thanks. | lindowcross
02/4/2020 18:52 | I am in at 664. An apparent professional on another board suggested there was value in the market at these levels. He said trying to catch the bottom was too difficult, and that it risked missing the value...so his suggestion pick an IT that pays a dividend and get paid that 3-4% dividend for a year or so while you wait for share prices to recover Seems eminently sensible to me HSL has fallen about 40% in the last couple of months...very similar to some of my direct holdings. So selling those, and moving into HSL seems a no-brainer, and far less risky If you do pound cost averaging like the previous poster is doing it might even be better still | johnhelme2704
31/3/2020 11:54 | Im in at 665. Only a small amount I'm going to add 3k a week for the next 6 months across a few different sectors. | dr biotech
28/2/2020 11:07 | Added today 865p. Surely a buy buy buy. | its the oxman
12/4/2019 11:03 | Yippeee now in positive territory! | samwn1

03/9/2018 12:40 | and at a nice buy point on the chart | robow
01/9/2018 09:44 | 15% discount to NAV whereas its usually around 8%. Looks attractive compared to BRSC 9% discount to NAV and SLS 8%. | henryatkin
30/8/2018 08:23 | Xd today 15p has taken us sub 900p , buying opportunity possibly. | its the oxman
