They are difficult to spot at the moment. The share price will take at least a 6p hit next week, still at a premium and a 2.5% spread. China needs to get its finger out !

New research note issued by Edison. As it's paid research, you would expect them to focus on the positives...

Added this morning. 10.27% yield and still a good growth story for Asian stocks looking ahead.

Even the yield is not as good as it appears when you consider you can now get over 6% on a 1 year bond now with your capital protected.

I held these for 10 years and sold in 2021 @324 for a modest capital gain.

Having bought back over the last year, I now find that I'm down @18%.

As has been pointed out above, does a double digit yield sound too enticing to be worth the risk!

Just looked in again this morning (am in Singapore) and pretty aghast to see the share price under 2.40 with an xdiv due shortly we are looking at the two twenties I guess...

I watched the update on H1 results with a pretty downbeat Mike Kerley. Not much to inspire confidence there...

I'm sticking with these. It's always been a bet on China ultimately and right now it's not working out. The dividend has to be a concern at this level and with the miners cutting their distributions I'm thinking the latest raise from our company was one of bravado rather than prudence. For all that, like I say I will go with it. At abt 4% of my portfolio I'm concerned but not considering heading for the exit. Definitely not adding!

Yes have learnt in this game you make money keeping or adding to your success's not adding to your loses.

Totally agree with that sentiment. The ex div drop of 6p is worrying me. Theres a chance it will drop far more on the day and never recover. Never done it before but I'm wondering whether it will be cheaper to stack my hand the day before. I think if there is no pre record lift then I will

Now at 15 year lows and hardly any sign of a bounce at support.

Every day is like a slow death if I did not already hold would not buy in here because multi year weakness like this rarely ends well in my experience. So by that logic I really should sell....but I won't, for now.

Geezo, I thought on Monday that the downward trend might be arrested.

While the yield is seriously tempting, capital loss must be considered. Is the Far East market that poor, or are the managers just constrained, by their remit, to pick stocks that aren't in fashion

I sold in March at £2.73 after holding for 20 odd years, just lost faith.

10% yield and a 30% drop in share value in the last year.

I am defiantly not adding with that kind of performance.

Not in a position to add more at present. (Probably have too much here already, lol)

Which will most likely be the dividend for the next year, so we are now looking at a annual dividend of 24.4pSo if you can buy at 244p, that would equate to a 10% yield.

Nice 6.1p next Dividend. Didn’t expect much in the way of an increase , but good to see.

Joined you guys with a holding here.

Potential double bottom on the chart, consistent and gradually growing dividend, yield at an excellent 9.6%. Regular quarterly payment. So that's all good.

And the interview interpreted as 'gloomy' was mainly so because it was looking back at the reported half year, and for reasons largely outside the portfolio manager's control. There was plenty of reason for optimism here looking ahead to the medium term.

For all the above reasons, happy to put an initial stake in this morning.
