Helphire Group plc (the "Company")





The Company has been was yesterday notified by Amvescap plc that, as the result
of a recent conversion of unit trusts to investment companies with variable
capital, Amvescap plc has ceased to be interested in 20,183,027 ordinary shares
of 5 pence each in the Company and no longer has a notifiable interest (within
the meaning of Section 199(2) of the Companies Act 1985) in ordinary shares of
the Company.



The Company has also been notified today that, as a result of the conversion
referred to above, Invesco UK ICVC Series has a notifiable interest in
20,183,027 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company and that Invesco
Perpetual Income Fund and Invesco Perpetual High Income Fund no longer have
notifiable interests in ordinary shares of the Company:
