wiseacre, I agree completely re Invesco and Woodford. The holding is small for Invesco and producing income, so I don't see any reason for them to sell down unless they decide to move away from small caps / AIM. Of course the other possibility is that Woodford might actually want to buy some of these in his new fund. I know he was frustrated at being unable to move very quickly and buy what he wanted due to the size of the Invesco fund, so if he launches a smaller cap fund then HHR may feature in it.

Filter the arrogant troll bc4, or it will ruin the thread. I have, and so have many others.

Whatever is happening, someone is obviously a large buyer who has been buying for the last few weeks. Makes yo wonder who would be stake building here?

Delayed trades are for institutions who want to make large purchaces or sales without 'distorting' the market; i.e. they want to get the best price they can before anyone knows they are dealing. Surprisingly, this is a legal practice facilitated by brokers and mm.'s. It's supposed to ensure an 'orderly market,' whatever that is, whereas in reality it's just another advantage built into the system for establishment use. Others will disagree, I know.

Often trades are worked through the system and various parts are done at different prices and then reported as one single trade with an average price. Also larger trades are always reported late anyway (although why that is in this day and age is beyond me). That's why you often see bigger trades reported after the close.

The reason for the recent share price weakness is the fear that Invesco will sell down its stake now that Neil Woodford, who is a great supporter, is leaving. This is piffle. The Invesco holding is too small in the scheme of the fund as a whole and they are unlikely to sell. Secondly Woodford is almost certainly a buyer for his new fund

Why delay it then and release it at a time when it matches the sell price are you with me
