Results are in:

LONDON (AFX) - London pubs and bars company Hartford Group PLC moved into
profit for the first half of the year and said second half trading has begun
"strongly".
The group which owns Jamies Bars and Heads & Tails in London reported a
pretax profit before exceptionals of 148,000 for the 28 weeks to April 10,
compared with a loss of 282,000 a year earlier. Turnover from continuing
business was flat at 6.1 mln.
The gross margin rose to 74.3 pct from 72.4 pctd and EBITDA improved by 79
pct to 469,000 from 262,000.
"Trading in the second half to date has begun strongly," said chairman
Stephen Thomas, with sales up 4.1 pct from last year.
Three new sites in London have been acquired, including the well-known
Hodgsons in Chancery Lane.
"We can now look to the future with excitement and optimism," Thomas said.

Results could be any day now.

Thomas's share of HAR must be about 8% now,does he have to declare his intentions if it reaches 10%? does anybody know ?

Stock overhang must be nearly clear. Don't forget chairman bought 1m shares at 1.5p after last announcement. Most restuarant/bar groups have seen a significant improvement in trade in recent months - those with London/city focus should be doing the BEST. Short term target 1.5p and every expectation of 2.0p on publication of results. Chairman may buy more when he can.

looking over the last 12 trading sessions sells 388k Buys 3.2 mil. MM's keen for stock at these levels wouldn't be surprised if we see another tick up today and the offer increases.
