Posted at 26/9/2018 01:25 by jacks e4 Hardy Oil & Gas PLC,have announced the Supreme Court of India has upheld Union of India's appeal that Indian courts have jurisdiction over hearing an appeal against an arbitration tribunal's ruling. The Supreme Court had been considering the Union of India's appeal against a judgment by the High Court of Delhi that the India High Court did not have jurisdiction to hear the Union of India's appeal against the merits of an arbitration tribunal's ruling that the relinquishment of the CY-OS/2 exploration licence by the Union of India was unlawful.Hardy is the operator of the CY-OS/2 exploration block located offshore Pondicherry and holds a 75% participating interest. The company said the Supreme Court ruling means that the Union of India's appeal against the arbitration award will now be heard by the High Court of Delhi which will extend the legal process required to conclude the arbitration award.Hardy shares were down sharply on the news. |

Posted at 02/2/2011 15:28 by drachen totally agree...this is herd mentality, sheep following sheep. but hey, if investors want to sell at a loss at the bottom of the market let them . I am more than happy to pick up shares at this price. looking forward to hearing news on D3 spud soon and then the share price should recover. anyway ive always been here for the long term. India is a emerging super power. With a significant shortfall in the domestic energy requirements ,the market and infrastructure are already in place. As you rightly say cumnor, Hardy has already had success on D3, is working with a significant local player , and is committed to the long term development of its assets in India....sp at 145p ..a steal ..more for me please...thank you |
Posted at 03/11/2010 09:04 by drachen with PY-3 in full production the financials certainly appear very healthy. With sales of 40,974 stb for the 3 months at average price of $75.93, I make that £3.1 million. With the sale of the African assets adding another $4.6 million Hardy has a cash/investment pot of $23 million, in which to concentrate solely on realising its assets in India. With most of the expenditure of $1.8 million being spent on drilling the successful 4th (should that be 5th?) discovery on D3 and with no long term debt, I for one am confident about the future. It would of been nice though to have had further news re the drilling programme for D9. With phase one requirements of two further wells on the block, the schedule is still that one well will be drilled before the end of 2010. The minimum requirement of 2 wells on D3 I believe are scheduled according to the website in the first and third quarter of 2011. It certainly looks promising going forward and if the disbute on the extension to the exploration programme on CY-OS can be resolved anytime soon, we will have a nother prize asset....just a few personal comments on the statement issued today , feel free to comment on.. and as always DYOR and good luck all investors...and yes I am a long term investor of this company. |
Posted at 13/9/2010 00:40 by drachen It looks like the share price has settled around the 240p mark for now on very low volume. I think investors are waiting for the anticipated news of further exploration drilling on block D9, then we should see a lot more interest/volume and a subsiquent sig rise in share price looking back to September 2009, when A1 spudded on the block, the share price was already well over 300p then, and peaked at over 550p before the well was P&A. With the further discovery made on block D3 since then, I personally think that the share price has a lot of upside. |
Posted at 26/10/2009 08:41 by binladin this will go down,1 the time for the next drill 2 we dont know who is shorting the stock. 3 Is there any oil or gas there or is HARDY a dummy company encouraged by others used for going long and short and the money used to finance the drilling. so only the investors take a wack and not the company or its directors. At this point in time i am very suspicious of both hardy and reliance and i know what silly projections they can come up with to attract investors. yes i got wacked by 2500 pounds. But i am going to see when the next drill is going to be and what is hardys cash position. There are legal issues facing reliance, which could jepardise the next move. |
Posted at 24/10/2009 10:33 by andy Typhus,I sincerely doubt that scenario personally, PI's "rushing in to buy cheap stock" on a share that is falling are unlikely to set stop losses, IMO. The price rose on speculation of success, and now it's a failure, it's retraced to the same point. Sadly it often overshoots in BOTH directions, so it would not surprise me to see sub 300p on Monday at some point. This will hardly help! MARKET REPORT: Hardy Oil dries up for investors By Geoffrey Foster Last updated at 10:14 PM on 23rd October 2009 Comments (0) Add to My Stories It's dry! They are two simple words that oil company executives and shareholders never want to hear. Confidence in Hardy Oil & Gas was smashed to smithereens as the Indiafocused exploration group admitted yesterday that its drilling campaign in the region had got off to a disastrous start. The shares crashed 226p or 41 per cent to 320p after Hardy revealed that the first D9 exploration well offshore eastern India was dry and has been plugged and abandoned. Investors had piled into the stock in recent months on hopes that a four-well drilling programme would prove the block contained many billions of cubic feet of gas. Latest from the London markets The company had lauded the well as a highlight of 2009, stating: 'Our focus through the remainder of 2009, and into 2010, will be to progress our exploration programmes on the D9 and D3 blocks in the prolific Krishna Godavari Basin in India.' Although Hardy attempted to cushion the blow by declaring that the drilling provided significant data that will help boost the company's chances of success in further drilling attempts, analysts were bearish. Nick Copeman at Evolution Securities advised clients to sell and said: 'The failure here is a surprise and throws doubt on the remaining potential in the D9 block as reservoir quality risk is now likely to be seen as higher across the remaining targets. Given the D9 block was Hardy's key asset, investors should sell.' Read more: |
