I caught a sidebar on Bloomberg TV yesterday whilst watching election coverage - something about a secondary sale of Premier Oil debt having had no bidders despite a discount of more than 50%. Think it was 2019 debt. Anyone got a link to a press article?

Decent enough start, but I bet our friends will be trying damn hard to keep this below 54.5 - 55p

Hopefully the oil price will track back toward $50 over the course of the month, and everything needs to be kept crossed for a good trading update this time next week

Agreed, Whitebox possibly telling a few porkies!!! Their first disclosure was on the 4th so they'd already added over 0.33% just before that.

Speaking of which, Whitebox Advisors certainly went for it from Friday to Monday last....

Theyve added .22% to their short or 1.1m shares. Perhaps they were the ones having 'friendly' little chats with journos about the PMO debt that no one apparently wants

Total disclosed PMO shorts now at around 18.2m shares

NAV Mike - I would suspect that there are a whole raft of shorters lurking at just under 0.5% that we don't know about. It's only when they add a few more that tips them over the limit that we find out.

unless the short sellers are privy to inside information which is negative to the stock...I suggest they would wish to close prior to the 17th, in case the news isn't.

One thing I didnt notice yesterday amidst all the chaos, was that Citadel Advisors LLC had also appeared on the shorters list @ 0.53%

I think were shorting before and may just have been lurking below the disclosure level

In any event we now have 4 entities on the list accounting for 3.36% or 17m odd shares

This is 6x the level of as recently as end-August and confirms the shorting PMO has been subjected to. Not as dramatic as say TLW but certainly enough to stop the price getting beyond 80p, and definitely responsible for the recent plunge

unfortunately, TD has presided over two previous bankruptcies......will he be adding to that tally?...or not, place your bets
