So where did the MM's get 4.5million shares from? or were they bought from a different seller if so who?

Done before those new disclosure rules

Can't have been your post AI that tipped them off as that was 3 minutes past 4 and the trade was at 1 minute to 4

Unless it was you and you are a bigger fish that I took you for! ;-)

Onedb posted on lseNow first post of 2018 on PMO I wanted to highlight the various quarter averages in the Brent curve ( I use 1m futures ) q1 2017$54.57q2 $50.79q3 $52.17q4 $61.46 ( big jump ) The significant highlight here is the excellent Q4 ! Last trade update was for Q3 pre Catcher . So we'll soon get the Q4 without Catcher full quarter bonus production, in my view it will show a good cash build already . Now we are in production ramp up mode and a near 17% up in Brent prices vs Q3 . Since July the share price has been in a great trend from the mid 40s to the mid 70s now but I don't think it remotely reflects improving production and q4 strong Brent prices. Spot at the moment is at $67.2 , what is also interesting is that Brent is still in backwardation and hedge funds are net long Brent at record levels with no signs of a reduction for now Junior oil plays are lagging in my view . PMO lets remember is also improving the debt levels from recent asset sales. My view so far is to stay long in the rising trend channel ( I can post chart if interested ) . The trend appears healthy with the ADX index at 30 ( above 25 is good ) 20 , 50 and 200 day moving averages are all pointing up , which implies a bullish stance RSI is healthy and shows momentum is good too For these reasons am staying on Trend . On a side note this year am going to work on coding strategies for portfolios that like a mix of Momentum and Trend , I passed all my CMT exams ( chartered market technician) and am hoping to focus a lot more this year on my portfolio without the studying distraction . Finally TA is not about predicting but about odds . So whilst I feel that above 80 the chart opens up for a re-test of 100 , my 2018 very bullish target points towards 180. The share has consolidated for ages ( over 2 years now ) when it pops it should lead to very juicy targets so worth having PMO on your watch list if not invested. Long consolidations give way to potentially big moves. Just my view no advice intended .

A 4.5million share purchase reported after hours for 3.59pm at 77.4p yet the share price then fell .75p?Something amiss there.

76.65p - 77.10p seems to have been today's maximum boundaries for the bid.Whatever stock that was required to keep it in that range has been available most of the day

You are aware of the new regulatory rules regarding the LSE reporting off-book trades as well as on book trades ?

Legal Entity Identifiers ?

You should be able to firmly identify who is behind every single trade.

(I have no idea how I might add but I did have to apply to the LSE for my own LEI number a few months ago)

It all makes absolutely no difference whatsoever to a hedge fund aiming to keep a share price below a certain level. They just continue the DMA practise they were adopting before of removing the bid whenever it reaches a level they don't wantI can see that it reduces the opportunities/vision of small/day tradersCan't really see why any change was required by the exchange as people have been telling me for the last year, on this thread, that markets can't be manipulated. ;-)

AI it aggregates what's on the bid and offer now to fill the quant of the order so in response yes. Hard to tell if it stems some of the volatility after a day wonder if new algos need writing / tweaking for bots

........what about you? Sobered up yet after that earlier post? All the best thoughWe could all do with some positive share price performance from PMO(I note that even the little rise today is being systematically removed. Can only be to keep the share price where the hedgies want it as I don't think, for one second, that a seller was waiting for 77.1p to sell 798 shares etc)

On the 12/1/2017 PMO issued a trading and operations update.Sorry I don't think its a link, the share was 91.75p. 12 months later with a year of excellent updates,a huge oil find, oil trading higher etc etc etc,the share price is down 17%.Very very poor

As we've just seen then, it only takes a few AT sells to knock any gains off PMO and it only needs poo to step back and we will be hit hard.

I can't see that there would be any interest at all in the market without a deep discount if he tried that route and it would have to be accompanied by TD stepping down as the market can all see that he shafted shareholders and they wouldn't want the chance of that happening again.

If that was a route forward [bearing in mind the amount he could raise based on current market cap would only clear a small % of the debt] it would have to be in the 40's.

It would have to include clarification/resolution of the CB position and, as such, would be intricate - PI's have been shafted once already by TD on an intricate finance deal so don't see anyone lining up to get done over again.

A non-starter in my view.

At what price do we speculate that PMO will complete a debt reduction rights issue?

Not really a New Year resolution is it Leo/PaulBiya/Bransonbull?

Don't think I've ever read a post of yours that has even mildly chided TD.

What a dreadful position TD has brought us to then.

One of the top shorted stocks in the market

It would probably be more but the likes of DB & BOA have lent all the stock they had so haven't any more to loan out.

Is TD loaning out the stock held in his wife's name? that would be interesting to know.

beg... the shorttracker graph goes back to Nov 2012... so until Jan '15 there were no (disclosable) shorts.

We should get last months stock-on-loan average in a few days.. that'll give a better idea of total shorts.
