15/2/2022 12:06 | could be a bowl shape forming | netcurtains
18/1/2022 09:40 | loganair: That is correct in big picture (10 years) but in smaller picture (8 years) HSD has increased assets under management in every year apart from one.... So depends if take 10 year view or 8 year view. Past three years profits has been increasing every year. From Wall Street Journal: 2021 profit 5,100.0 2020 profit 4,700.0 2019 profit 4,600.0 | netcurtains
18/1/2022 09:33 | Unlike other similar companies, it seems to me that Hansard's profitability has been in decline for 10 years and during this time having no increase in assets under management. | loganair
18/1/2022 07:44 | MRF: That might be so but wealth management is a growing market. There are more and more elderly people (many of them quite well to do) and more and more people with private pension funds. Wealth Management is a growing market. | netcurtains
17/1/2022 22:25 | There really is no future in this type of wealth management offering, its long in the tooth and had its day, nothing is going to change other than it can only get worse, how to describe the past, present and likely future? Death by a thousand cuts. | my retirement fund
17/1/2022 22:11 | Margins have been decimated though, would need 3x the AUM to pay the original dividend. | cockerhoop
17/1/2022 15:09 | SteMiS : yep | netcurtains
17/1/2022 15:07 | Are you referring to Assets under Admin? | stemis
17/1/2022 15:03 | "In fact the assets per share are now back to the level when the dividend was three times the amount it is now." Indeed - and that suggests to some (OK to me) that we may see rise in the dividend. Would have added anyway - oh there it is. | folderboy
17/1/2022 14:31 | How many times has it cut the dividend and how many times has it paid it in full? Does anyone have the numbers so we can calculate the risk involved? It appears that they have cut it twice but increased it about 4 times. Dividend been stable since end of 2017. On face value 8.9% is brilliant. In fact, anything over 5% is good. In fact the assets per share are now back to the level when the dividend was three times the amount it is now. | netcurtains
17/1/2022 14:23 | Indeed it does - guess that is the risk I am taking. | folderboy
17/1/2022 14:21 | The only thing you may be missing is more of these! Added a fair few today - trade not showing - as far as I can see. As for yield: | folderboy
17/1/2022 11:05 | Am I missing something? Is this really a gift horse? Does it really have a dividend yield of 8.7% Thanks for any info (11-01-2020 British Bull buy signal) | netcurtains
04/11/2021 09:26 | With stocks and commodities at or near all time highs I would have thought assets under management would be much, much higher then they are. Hansard seem more bothered about gaining industry awards then running a growing company. | loganair
04/11/2021 08:09 | Stemis, Any chance you could update the header to include performance since 2017? | cockerhoop
04/11/2021 07:45 | Results unequivocally bad. Income down, Japan delayed, single premium shift is to less stable future income, lower case size, even the Far East is just returning to normal from a previous low, little cheer going forward. | grahamg8
05/10/2021 11:51 | The drop on Friday would be going ex div. Don't know about today. | stemis
05/10/2021 08:20 | Looks like I made a bad decision in adding recently - certainly poor timing. Anyone able to enlighten me as to the reason for this steady, continuing drop? | folderboy
24/9/2021 08:27 | At least AUM is up, margins over the last 10 years have fallen off a cliff! | cockerhoop
24/9/2021 07:25 | Assets under administration are up only 10% on what they were several years ago, not very good considering most assets are up 25%, 50% or even more over that same period of time. | loganair
23/9/2021 20:22 | Pleasant to hear the view of others - I remain pleased that I added a few weeks ago - indeed I added a few more today | folderboy
23/9/2021 17:10 | Well that was a tad underwhelming. Agree the litigation is a pain, it just seems to rumble on in the background. Steady earner even with Covid. Hansard has been quietly reinventing itself with new products, new systems about to come on line, new territories (+Japan to come). It has been quite a long wait for the jam to arrive but that yield is really nice to have in the mean time. | grahamg8 |
