28/9/2016 12:00 | I'm quite content to watch the share price edge upwards at a rate less than 1% a week, even half of that would suffice for me.I say that, because strange as it may sound, I don't really want GVC to rocket quickly up to 1200 or 1500p because I would be selling up and that would be the end of my GVC journey.I'm much happier getting back to a sensible, living dividend income, and if I were tempted to sell some or all of my shares then that income would not be sufficient. The plan is always to sell down shares when I'm older, hopefully at a much higher level, but in the meantime, enjoy the ride as I have done for the last 6 years. | festario
28/9/2016 10:27 | Tracking the index? | woodhawk
28/9/2016 10:23 | Early promise dissipated...how disappointing | nurdin
28/9/2016 09:52 | Let's hope they remain so then; every reason to be at the current time. K.A. was suggesting - rather pointedly and repeatedly - during the webcast that there is plenty to come that isn't "in the price". | woodhawk
28/9/2016 09:18 | The jump of 50p to 780p dragged out a load of profit takers, hence the fall. What interests me is that the volumes on the way up to 780p were far greater than the volume taking us down. Shows the confidence of the institutions who are investing at these lofty levels. | mylands
28/9/2016 08:56 | See my previous posts if you're that concerned. I started buying at 739p and below. Nice 5% drop from 779p. You've got to respect that trendline - until it fails, of course. Now we have the trackers onboard, that will add another dimension to it, don't you think? | woodhawk
28/9/2016 08:53 | Woodhawk 'onwards and upwards', yes, but did you buy on the dip down to 729p? I didn't, but I am sitting on those I bought at 705p in late August. | mylands
28/9/2016 08:25 | Oh, I do like a nice pullback. Onwards and upwards? Where to now? | woodhawk
27/9/2016 16:40 | Nice to see a tinge of blue at the close, and nice to see another intra day reversal. | festario
27/9/2016 12:42 | I'd be more than happy to see £10 in a year (plus resumption of divis). In the meantime there will be the never-ending peaks and troughs and I'll be looking for every opportunity to enhance my position by exploiting them along the way. I've tried being a passive investor - but it doesn't suit my style - by nature I prefer to take relatively calculated risks and increase my holding at no extra cost when possible. | woodhawk
27/9/2016 12:38 | Markets can be fickle about good managers & their performance, if they even recognise it! My other holding, MCRO, is a case in point. Doesn't yet believe the HP acquisition so now pulling back & waiting. These cases give opportunities for longer term investors versus traders. Same with GVC imho. | sogoesit
27/9/2016 12:33 | Who knows about 700. Predicting short term share prices is a waste of time & effort. I hold, I have funds, if it gets to a reasonable buy-in share price on the charts I will accumulate this one. Medium term (1 year) price target about £10. | sogoesit
27/9/2016 12:27 | But the rest of you will have to put up with his bragging and lies it seems. | festario
27/9/2016 12:23 | You're right, I've filtered him, he'll have to rant on into the ether in future... You might be right about 700p, but I've got my plan and I'm sticking to it. No one else to blame if it all goes horribly wrong then! | woodhawk
27/9/2016 12:20 | You folks are getting pretty boring. Well, there's nothing happening with the share price except a pull-back so we have time to get bored with all this carp. Lol Maybe we'll see 700 soon and I can accumulate. | sogoesit
27/9/2016 12:02 | Never edited a message in my life, in fact from the iPad the functionality is not available. Liars reaching for excuses once caught out. | festario
27/9/2016 11:50 | Probably easier if I just filter you then, Festario. And, no, I didn't make it up - if it's not there now, it's because you've edited it subsequently. I have an excellent memory. Bye. | woodhawk
27/9/2016 11:25 | What is your problem, Festario? Don't take your childish frustrations out on me - every other post you accuse me of being a liar. Just Filter my posts instead of getting your knickers in a twist! | woodhawk
27/9/2016 11:13 | You are blatantly lying again Woodhawk, you seem intent on confrontation for some strange psychological reason.I challenge you to find any such post of mine, you are simply making things up, (like your perfect buys and sells no doubt) | festario
27/9/2016 11:06 | If you're so confident about your trendline, it's a shame you didn't sell higher and wait for the - usual - reversion to it. You were claiming the share price wouldn't go below 760p last week! | woodhawk
27/9/2016 10:56 | No, what I'm saying is that 729p is a good 6p below the underlying trendline.... so anywhere around here or below is a screaming buy. | festario
27/9/2016 10:36 | Woodhawk, if you get 729p, and it's just possible ... then I'm having some more too. | festario
27/9/2016 10:34 | Woodhawk, are you not concerned about the US election and the market reaction, plus plenty of talk about a market correction ? | panic investor |
