Paddy power and 888 named in previous Times report re Peter Pan, jack and beanstalk and so on.It's interesting in that Playtech are starting to strike more licensing deals for content including from Universal etc and so no doubt this sort of stuff will come under the microscope depending on the target demographics of the content licensed.

I'm happy with your proposal mylands, I'm not wishing the price to go down to £8.00, I hope it hits £9.50 and beyond, however, having watched the movements since I got the shares ( most from the sbt takeover and purchase @£2.45 from the cash element), I have noticed there's a initial rise after the company's news, then slowly brought down until the next company news event. I have always added when it fell, hence the large holding plus TD allows me a very big credit limit.

mylands ~ I have recently posted £500 to Shelter-Box, but I expect you mean the London-based charity for the homeless. Good luck all: years ago I bought from 200p
down to 92p and have since sold off the original investment. Not complaining :)

Hard to imagine a significant drop at the moment with trading as it is and record revenues in sight for next year.Even a Lads t/o, much as I am slightly reticent about the mechanics and cost of it, would drive GVC straight into the ftse 100.Personally I'd be more nervous to be out of it at the moment than to endure a few swings just as when the moves come they tend to be significant.Either way good to see some strength at the moment.

I will donate £100 to a charity I support, Shelter, if this drops to 800p before the year end. Will you do the same to a charity you support if my prediction that we will see 950p before year's end is achieved?

Good morning all, good post which are welcomed as a
good balanced view is much better. I feel we will
hold around here and actually move higher into the
end of the year as World cup performing stocks will
be bought into, gvc a big winner. Also once a stock
becomes blue sky as ezj did they just continue, ezj broke
above 725p area and just surged, here is the link.

mylands, I agree with you that the share price is on an upward move, however, I suspect the shorters will play the game of bringing it slightly down before the next company news, which I expect in early Jan. I already hold well over 200k, I got my divi from TD which I shall use to buy more in December, I suspect the price may come down to £8.00,(BUT I could be TOTALLY wrong) This stock has been one of my best preformers. Thanks to reasoned inputs from most of the people on here.

Hargreaves Lansdown paid my divi today, also 14.62p.

No, GVC announce the exchange rate before the div is paid and then pay it across to your broker in sterling. The rate this time on the 14th September was 1.12858Euro/£

So when GVC make their dividend payments to your broker do they do so in sterling or euros and then the broker decides the exchange rate to use? I just got paid 14.62p per share by TD Direct.

Seeing how much MW have lost on their short position trading, seems to me it's a sign of desperation to try and cover some of their losing positions. They remind me of another invester, a certain Mr Teufelberger and the timing of his share sales!

Just looked at the share price on Oct 12th - 880p, looks like another inspired short position by MW.

Just saw it in my account which is nice. Not sure how much news is needed with the trading momentum it already has so it'll be going straight back in for me

I see Marshall Wace inceased their short on the 12th, so with today's bounty of the divi, I shall hold off purchase till mid- to late December, as there's no company news in the calender until January.

Presumably dividends will arrive any day and be reinvested which will provide useful support but it looks pretty strong at the moment

Interesting - better to get certainty that this endless drip drip but it is true that it means good profits for a while longer at least.

Lads at least moving in the opposite direction of GVC this afternoon. A more accurate representation of the difference in values to come one would hope. IMHO anyway!

Not very likely IMO with their bombed out SP's. Look at WMH languishing around the 250p mark, where it was five years ago! The same for LCL at 130p, it was also there in 2012.

No, it's much more likely they will fall victim to a predator from the online sector wanting their large customer base. The poison pill for both will be the shops and maybe that will keep them independant.

It does give the bookies with shops chance to buy their
on line peers, does it not.

Thanks for the update. Be interesting to see how the market reacts to such a long delay.
