28/11/2016 21:24 | Npv is $400m about £322m which is over 60p a share. This is of course with Syria asset. Hostile Takeover at 20p plus would not surprise me. | phoenix equity
28/11/2016 21:06 | 100p would value the company at about 1/2 Billion, is it realistic? | andyr42

28/11/2016 18:12 | 50p coming | shaws67
28/11/2016 16:32 | Remember, there is almost no free float here too chaps. Richard Griffiths, Kroupeev through Waterfords and the Syrian billionaire Asfari own near 90%. My guess is IF Syrian IS coming back into the fold and Block 26 has a realistic possibility of pumping again next year that 20p min on cards with the market re-rating again thereof. If there is a bid then 30-50p I would hazard an educated guess at fair value - Asdari is on record saying they value the asset at almost half a billion dollars (Sunday Times) | richie666
28/11/2016 16:31 | LOL will do Geng i was not trying to take credit for a comment if i did it would be a good one | colin12345678

28/11/2016 15:46 | Tiger who knows but this is an extract from alignresearch above Valuation Attributing a value to the company is difficult given the multitude of risks involved. However, we note that the fair value attributed to the Syrian assets by the company as at 30th June 2015 was $102 million (£71.5 million) – 5.25 times the market cap – this figure itself being discounted some 74% from the company’s base case NPV(15) of $392 million. Subsequently there has recently being an additional reclassification of the reserves from 2P TO 2C status. | colin12345678
28/11/2016 15:42 | What price would be acceptable for a takeover? | tiger noble
28/11/2016 15:41 | There has to be more to this than just the Russian involvement in Syria - perhaps a takeover??? | colin12345678
28/11/2016 15:38 | Good to see the re-rating starting here. We believe a long, long way to go IF Block (260 gets moving as we wrote here at the beginning of the year - | richie666
28/11/2016 14:58 | slowing for the day I wonder? Not for long IMO | g2theary

Before the Syria conflict. IMO Both Russia & USA wanted Syria for themselves. With the Trump get into bed & let's make money (i mean peace) this could come good not only for this share price but for the poor people who have had to see loved ones killed daily. | colin12345678
28/11/2016 14:15 | Tiger its the Trump effect back to 50p please | colin12345678 |
