Maybe a buyer has told the company to finish off the buybacks, so it doesn't have to pay so much for the company.
But yes, there may well be more buybacks if the share price stays low (under 120p in my opinion).

Group returned 50m pounds to shareholders through by back over 60m shares over 22-23 . Year 2024 expected profit rises 75m to 85m . New buy back & dividend announcement soon . Hence group increases buy back volume from last few weeks. Current Strategic buy back good for long time shareholders , means more shares out from market

Bit disappointing that we have dropped below 100p again.
I estimate that we have 12 more days of buybacks (assuming we continue at the current pace) to finish on Tue 20th Feb. Previously the buybacks were due to finish by the end of March (half year), so does anyone have any ideas why they have speeded up? Previously 125k a day now 300k a day.

The share buyback might be completed a little sooner than expected. Have noticed the number of shares being purchased increasing recently. Could be just a blip.

Yes, next announcement should be good (last years H1 was bad,so the contrast will be massive), I think they will mention that results are ahead of market expectations.
