Posted at 08/4/2024 10:44 by pete long term investor Thanks for info. Peel Hunt is potenyially interesting as I brlieve not previously a top 10 shareholder. If buying now possibly purchasing in order to arbitrage in the event of a takeover offer. Hopefully Dividend rather than more Buybacks when results announced at end of May.. |
Posted at 02/4/2024 12:19 by eigthwonder I wonder given the number of takeovers around and the current market cap if GNC is going to find itself in the Mid Cap in the very near future and that is attracting index buying |
Posted at 25/3/2024 09:02 by pete long term investor Daniel Wotner of Oasis has the potential to havr a significant impact at Greencore, based on what he achieved at Premier Foods after Oasis bought a stake and Daniel joined the Board of that company. Recent Oasis commentary indicates that one of his first objecrived is getting the Dividend reinstated. Something that I fully support and have been campaigning for siince the Buyback started 2 years ago. |

Posted at 21/3/2024 15:06 by pete long term investor Can anyone remember a stuation where the Board of a company axed the Dividend and instead carried out a a Share Buyback before going on to launch a Management Buyout ? |

Posted at 25/2/2024 12:05 by pete long term investor Why did Greencore shares drop after buybak ended ? Its the swimming naked, tide going out effect, or something similar. By. Not paying a Dividend Greencore was effectively swimming nked (no dividend, so less investor interest). Share buyback ending removes artificial spport, i.e. the tide goes out, revealing a naked company with no dividend, and so with no arificial buoyancy the share price falls. Entirely predictable. |
