Disappointing volume here today battlebus2. I really do not understand it at times as it looks a fantastic recovery play. Maybe the overhang is scaring people away from investing for now.

I must have been half asleep.

It never dawned on me that Henderson Global are the sellers here. I have a large holding in CTP and Hendersons have been selling that down for months and Singers have been controlling the price to work the stock in CTP and Singers are doing exactly the same here. The only reason I missed the obvious is there has been no holding reduction from Henderson. Infact last Rns shows them increase but that might have been due to fundraising but I bet my bottom dollar we will get a holding Rns of Henderson reducing and selling out eventually as the clues are all there.

Welcome RP19

It is a totally random number how big this overhang is. There is no announcements of a fund selling as a guide so maybe Singers supported the fundraising in a big way and they are selling surplus stock as they have been controlling the price at this 2p range for a while.

All the pieces seem to fit really well for a long term recovery here.

This deal makes perfect sense.

I would not be surprised now to see either a special divi or another water business acquired.

Either way happy days for holders I think.

Been watching for a few weeks and dipped a toe in today. The recovery story looks appealing and this appears to be a pretty quiet thread which I view as a positive.

Yes all the pieces are falling into place and we are on a winner but short term being held back by a overhang. Can it clear today ?

I hope this kick starts the share price but we need some good volume to go with
it.

i do agree with the focus point. Shame that the Fire part of the business couldn't be developed though, as more construction takes place in the U.K could'a been a nice sideline.

Still, Bob knows best.

oh, and what an excellent board this company has.

Better to be great at one thing than average at six. You can then become great at number two and three later.

Green Compliance PLC
("Green Compliance" or the "Group")

Sale of Pyramid Fire Protection Ltd

The Board of Green Compliance (the "Board") is pleased to announce that it has agreed the sale of its fire suppression business, Pyramid Fire Protection Ltd, to FCF plc ("FCF"). It has been sold for a total consideration of £435,000 in cash on completion.

This sale follows a review by the Board which has concluded that the Group will focus all of its efforts on its market leading water hygiene and treatment business.

Pyramid Fire Protection Ltd is involved with fire detection and suppression systems and in the six months to 30 September 2013 it had revenues of approximately £427,000, made a loss before tax of approximately £40,000 and had net tangible assets at 31 January 2014 of approximately £223,000.

While the Group will now only self-deliver water hygiene and water treatment services, it will continue to offer other compliance services including Electrical, Pest and Fire to its customers which it will deliver via strategic partnerships.

Commenting, Bob Holt, Chairman of Green Compliance, said:

"We are pleased to have reached agreement with FCF in relation to the disposal of our fire suppression business and believe that FCF offer a great home for this business to thrive.

We have now completed the strategic realignment of the Group and Green Compliance is now a well-financed, focused and sustainable player in the water hygiene and treatment market.

We are committed to building the best water business in the UK and we look forward to the coming year as one where we can concentrate on growing our operations in this sector".

Keep them coming all a good read.

Winterfloods bought a 500k block and paid 1.9p for it which is high considering
the overhang so they have 350k of "cheap ones" left at 1.94p or higher to shift and then they will move back up most likely form a orderly queue.

Another decent element to the company is the Legionnaires testing and prevention.

How much is the value of clean water going to rise in the future?

Active and Passive Fire Protection Market - UK 2009-2013

This is well worth a read, 3 mins read time.

Look how it talks of the declining housing/construction mkt. We now know that the building sector has picked up recently. we know GCO have spoken of new contract wins and we know we're employing new sales advisors and bid writers....

tiny Snippet;

'the active fire protection market is comprised of alarms and extinguishers / sprinkler systems, with the market estimated at around £330m in 2008. In terms of passive fire protection, the market for fire doors had experienced steady growth up to 2007. However, the recent downturn in the construction of new houses and flats, together with a decline in many commercial and industrial sectors has had a negative impact on the industry and, as such, has reduced the market value to around £300m, while the fire door fittings market is worth approximately £200m.;

'Water expert Professor Robert Jackson, said: "A variety of micro-organisms is present in wastewater and can give rise to significant microbial contamination and illness. Potential hazards exist from viruses and microbial pathogens including escherichia coli, which are present in the faeces of most humans, mammals and birds."

hXXp://news.sky.com/story/1204892/somerset-floodwater-has-high-bacteria-levels

Floodwater in Somerset contains 60 times the amount of safe bacteria for agricultural water, tests for Sky News have found.

Microbiologist Nathaniel Storey, from the University of Reading, took samples from Moorland on Thursday and tested it to see how much bacteria was in the water.

The tests revealed the water contained 60,000 to 70,000 bacteria per 100 millilitres.

The World Health Organisation says agricultural water should have no more than 1,000 bacteria per 100 millilitres.

Bathing water should have no more than 500 bacteria per 100 millilitres.

Mr Storey has told Sky News the amount of bacteria in the floodwater is high.

"It's perhaps unsurprising considering there's septic tanks in these people's gardens that are overflowing and animals within close proximity," he said.

"Therefore all this excrement that's in these areas is being dredged up by the floodwater and taken into houses and into gardens."

He says people who have been near the floodwater should be careful preparing food straight after.

"It's possible they could get some quite nasty gastrointestinal diseases or diarrhoea etc from coming into contact with this floodwater," he said.
