                      Goldshield Group Plc ("Goldshield")

                Decision Not to Pursue Acquisition of Miza Group


As previously announced on 29 October 2002, Goldshield  indicated that it was
willing to acquire the Miza Group if acceptable terms and conditions could be
agreed with the examiner.



After careful consideration, Goldshield today announces that it has decided not
to pursue the acquisition of the Miza Group's pharmaceutical manufacturing
business in Ireland.



In the unfortunate event that Miza Pharmaceuticals is unable to continue supply
of products Goldshield is confident of finding alternate suppliers to ensure
minimum impact on sales.
