                              GOLDSHIELD GROUP PLC
                         Appoints Non-Executive Chairman


Goldshield Group plc, the marketing-led, British pharmaceutical company, today
announced the appointment of Peter Brown FCA FRSA as Non-Executive Chairman with
immediate effect.

Having qualified as an accountant in 1960, Peter has held a wide range of
positions within private and publicly quoted organisations.  His current roles
include:  Chairman of the private Independent Remuneration Solutions; Chairman
of publicly quoted Dawson Holdings Plc - the third largest overnight newspaper
and magazine wholesaler in the UK; Chairman of AIM quoted County Contact Centres
Plc as well as Chairman of Synergy Holding Limited. Previous directorships
include Chairman of WACE Plc, a FTSE company and Associated British Industries
plc.

Commenting on this appointment, Ajit Patel, Chief Executive of Goldshield Group
plc, said:

specialisation in improving value through re-structuring, strategic planning,
mergers and targeted remuneration systems I have no doubt that we will gain

Peter Brown commented:

"I am delighted to accept the offer to join the board of Goldshield Plc as
Independent non-Executive chairman.

By separating the role of chairman and chief executive, the company is following
best corporate governance practice and will free up Ajit Patel, the chief
executive, to concentrate on building the business.

defence of the charges made by the Ministry of Health, and look forward to
assisting the board continue to develop a profitable prescription and
non-prescription drugs business in the UK and overseas."
