Carlyle approached Metro not the other way round, it's not like the company have to sell is it but of course everything has it's price doesn't it so if they are prepared to stump up many multiples of todays price then they may get their acquisition!

Could be anywhere from 5 bags to 100 bags upon the listing going live, the negotiations have been going on in the background for over a year now so the RTO should be completed in the coming days, or at most, weeks you would imagine.
