The euro fell to a fresh 4-year low versus the dollar and U.S. 1.219- Treasury prices extended gains late Tuesday as reports about Germany banning some short selling and an accelerating decline in U.S. stocks gave traders more reasons to flock to the relative security of the U.S. dollar and government debt.

flips.
Of the two I prefer GPM .
I bought in 10000 lots from 54p on 1.4.2010 to 17.5.10 at 69.7p.
Gpm there is no stamp duty so thats an added benefit.
Cyn I have purchased these from 23.1.2009 at 80.5p including costs.
I sold a lot on 12.2.2009 for 5.89% profit.
Big mistake I had to buy them back again in May 2009 at 127.6p.
If you look at this table below CYN is trading on a 21.5% discount(source Sharescope I alter them when the official NAV comes in from the company which will be later today for 14.5.2010)
GPM trades on 7.5% discount(source Sharescope)
The latest fact sheet for end of April 2010 figures show a big rise in the month for GPM.
CYN have increased their gold holdings.

Washbrook - I am looking to enter either GPM or CYN. Which do you prefer? The choice seems to lie between a mixed bag of commodities or a pure gold/silver play.

The NAV I have started adding on my Google Documents page.
I now use Sharescope Fair Value NAV
A week ago for Friday close I used Company data.
The annual report should have been published in April that would give a better idea of the full portfolio.
The monthly Fact sheet should be out within the next few days giving the top 5 holdings.
The ones I have been updating are for End of March 2010.

Very curious about what the NAV of this IT will be when it is reported later today. Will it have narrowed, or will it still be at something like 14.5%. Time will tell. ;)

With £gold well up on the week to 7.5.10
The NAV is at least 75.5p now.

I knew the markets were oversold but am I dreaming GPM up 4.5p.

The US $ index weakening.

Are we going to get a recovery or are we still in a secular bear marke.
The key to watch is the US$ index.

I have made a table of 5 top holdings and updated values from 31.3.2010 to 6.5.10.
I have converted the share price movements from EURO to sterling all except Iam Gold which is converted from Canadian $s .
Also taking into account currency movements.
