A relatively tight spread on the GPSS today, so I took the opportunity to add a few there..

And yes, I realize they're well out of the money at present, but PM's are looking great with the current global situation, and it's a relatively cheap way to add.

@ohisay - you win :)

Should be trading much nearer to NAV IMO, & will be, in time.

re: the fund size and charges.. that is the idea behind issuing subscription shares (ticker GPSS). I think it quite likely we'll be over 42.3p by Nov 2019 in which case some subscription shares will be exercised.

From the RNS from 28 Nov 2017

"on any exercise of the Subscription Share Rights, the capital base of the Company will increase, allowing operating costs to be spread across a larger number of Ordinary Shares, and this may cause the ongoing charges as a percentage of the NAV per Ordinary Share to fall; "

Those subscription shares I bought at around 1.5p are starting to look good!

Nearer 38p than 36p I'd have thought...

Previous 3 days of NAV - 34.2p, 35.04p, 36.1p - guesses for today's, from yesterday?

Edit - someone must have a spreadsheet of holdings & prices, but I'm going 36.5p :)

@Sithuk - I'd imagine they're charged to capital, considering the income profile, but the costs (1.25% management, 2.65% total) have always been a bugbear of mine.

The 2018 Annual Report breaks them down (page 18) - mostly so high because of the size of the fund. Can't copy/paste but it's a long list. The more than 50% of the charges that aren't management fee would be proportionally lower in % terms the more the fund grows.

Fees are charged to the trust itself, not the investor directly. Probably pro rata on a daily basis.

How are the 3% GPM annual fund costs typically charged?

Certainly interesting to see GPM getting cheaper day by day, despite the share price ticking up.

GPM reached 27p intraday on June 25, the NAV hit 32.5p that day.

The offer today was 27.2p and the NAV will hit 37p+ when announced at midday ish tomorrow.

That's what I call a bargain.

So can I. Look at gold and silver tonight! It's broken through the $1440 barrier and has started its journey to $1500-1550. GPM's holdings are coming good!

All GPM stocks on a tear, Silver Lake Resources up 12% today!

Yes there is a discount to NAV, yes it has been increasing ... that's why I've been buying. It's a bull market, the NAV discount will close.

It's like buying a double leveraged fund without the risk. So why complain, just buy in the sales.

I can see 30p+ in days here.
