20/10/2006 15:32 | I see EK is still long on GMC, but after his debacle with SBT, I suppose that's not saying much. | paulo2
20/10/2006 15:05 | mickey - thankfully my average is 7.25p but my shares will still be joining yours in that top draw. | sabretooth
20/10/2006 14:41 | EK doesn't understand the technology of Coms but belives in the Drummonds. Thats why he invested. My average for GMC is 11p so I'm way off I'll just have to put them in the top draw and wait. | mickeyskint
20/10/2006 14:40 | Someone was desperate to sell ......... 200K @ 4.5p ? | gwatson55
20/10/2006 14:15 | Can you believe it.. my GMC holding is still blue!! Only just. Having brought in 2.5p - 3p 2 years ago! Have done very well out of GMC so don't like to knock it too much ; ) Unfortunately I know a lot of people brought in 10p+. And luckily I didn't invest in any other gaming stock either. | m_n_tomlinson
20/10/2006 13:52 | Wow! £250k is hardly a stonker for EK at that price. In fact it's hardly a stonker for most investors here at that price I should imagine. However.. interesting company Mickey. Still hold GMC, albeit a much reduced holding (luckily did most my redcing before it fell below 10p). Feel the Drummonds have been lacklusture, and have taken their eye of the ball as far as GMC is concerned. If they had spent the last 2 years passionately improving Casino.co.uk.. tightening the website, making it more coherent, and added more exciting graphics, I think they could have had achieved a much stronger stand-alone gaming site. But with so much going on Nettworxs and Coms, etc. it's easy to see why it's been left alone to look after itself. Having said that, I'm confident they will make a profit this year which is why I still have a token holding. I'm just gonna let this one run forever now. Back to Coms though, Must admit.. very impressed. After losing faith a little with the drummonds enterprises.. I actually think this coms site could be a success! Great domain name, nice straightforward layout, and killer product (broadband telephone voip). A smart site! Does what it says on the tin. Could be big!! | m_n_tomlinson
20/10/2006 12:28 | into coms? | sabretooth
20/10/2006 12:25 | By the way EK has lobbed in 250k. | mickeyskint
20/10/2006 12:22 | This is another one of the Drummonds enterprises. Thought it might be of interest. Coms plc ("Coms" or the "Company") Coms launches VoIP service with 2 million numbers Dated: 20 October 2006 Coms plc has today switched on its Internet Telephony network for UK public use. Unlike Skype, Coms will work on all devices that support the SIP protocol, which is recognised as the International standard for voice over IP (VoIP) networks, bringing simple, cheap internet telephone service to a wide range of PDAs, mobiles and landlines. Coms lets each customer select their own free UK personal number from a range of 1.4 million Ofcom allocated numbers in the top 178 UK geographic area codes by population. Incoming calls are free and calls between Coms users are also free. Coms charges low rates to UK phones, mobiles and international destinations and for enhanced messaging services. There are already over two million British households using the Internet to make calls. Further, SIP is becoming standard in most portable devices. By 2008 most mobile phones and PDAs will be able to receive VoIP calls from the nearest wireless hotspot. "This mass saturation will enable people to make cheap calls wherever they can get onto a WiFi hotspot, giving the networks a real run for their money." says Terry Martin, CEO of Coms. "Integration of Coms numbers with existing handsets will be the linchpin of this sector" says Richard Bennett, Corporate Development Officer of Coms. "Our phones are reminiscent of mobile handsets which brings users a sense of familiarity that will drive the uptake of our service - users will quite literally take their landline with them". Coms will offer its service and special Internet phones through the company's online shop ( www.coms.com ). 20/10/2006 12:03 | No pi buyers out there though. Evo now offering stock at 5.13p...will that tempt anybody ? | quotes_4_u

20/10/2006 12:01 | GUYS: I am back in the market for a further 250,000 shares at 5.25p or better. I believe this share at current prices will give me a very good profit before Christmas. | red dog
20/10/2006 12:01 | Six months ago Orange had about 10,000 registered users. about 1500 were active spending about £300 per year. So in May of Orange the turnover was projected about £450,000. Not much, however that will have built in the last six months & also Vodaphone is expected to be much greater. I quote: "mobile gambling is in its infancy, some estimates suggest that the worldwide market could reach £10 billion in 2009." | outsider
20/10/2006 11:52 | I have just scanned both Orange and Vodafone web-pages for "mobile gambling" and did not come up with anything of significance. Orange offers theselves as a portal to plenty of sites but no links to downloading software that will allow users to gamble on their handsets? | senator
20/10/2006 11:39 | I don't have Vodaphone or Orange, but it's an obvious tool to build up market share. One thing Im sure of, it's potentially a huge business & Vodaphone & orange have the muscle to muscle in, in a big way, which I'm pretty sure they will, as the mobile call/text business itself becomes more and more mature. | outsider
20/10/2006 11:35 | Thanks Outsider. That sounds more promising. Have you received these offers? Has anyone else on the board? | scburbs
20/10/2006 11:20 | Scurbs but they have excellent & free marketing tools ie...texts directly & offers to entice. Furthermore the Vodaphone name or Orange name, is one of the few names people will trust along with established concerns. | outsider
20/10/2006 11:14 | Outsider, agree .. all said a little tongue-in-cheek. i'm sure soon enough those nice gentlemen at gmc will let us know how we are doing and where we are heading. i will watch now with interest. | moneymaker6
20/10/2006 10:56 | Outsider, Indeed I believe that may well be their approach. Sadly anyone actually interested in mobile gaming will have found their own provider by then. Slowly slowly catchy monkey is not a tactic generally associated with building a market leading position. | scburbs
20/10/2006 10:46 | Judging any small company chart in last six months (sorry no offence) is daft in my opinion, all small companies have been under the cosh for the last 5 or six months...only now are they showing early signs of recovery (all in my opinion) | outsider
20/10/2006 10:41 | i realise its early days but the NTWX chart has a familiar pattern to it. | moneymaker6
20/10/2006 10:35 | Just edited it myself, plenty. ty | paulo2
20/10/2006 10:35 | "The point is whether Vodafone and Orange are promoting the GMC casinos" Scrubs, I think they will want it promoted indirectly, still age issues etc open to critism....wise move if you ask me. Slowly slowly catchy monkey. | outsider
20/10/2006 10:32 | Paulo2 - Do you mean Nettworx (NTWX.L) - floated at 10p currently 7.25p? | plentymorefish |
