10/10/2006 13:39 | I am thinking there is something wrong (apart from the sp!!!)or something else will be announced with the TU,they know the figures so what else can they be waiting for ? Alan | presneill31
10/10/2006 13:35 | Maybe a deal or two to be hatched at the following. Taken from the SBT thread with thanks to the author. Online gambling execs flock to Barcelona By Bradley Vallerius 10 October 2006 Amid regulatory and legislative chaos in America and Europe, more than 1,000 online gambling executives, investors, lawyers and regulators will flock to Barcelona for the 5th annual European i-Gaming Congress & Expo (EiG) this week. Beginning Wednesday, the three-day event will consist of several hours of conference discussion and presentations about the industry´s most pressing topics as well as an exhibition area in which more than 40 global online gambling companies will display their latest products and services. | millionaire
10/10/2006 12:57 | Irrational behaviour - unfortunately the market can remain irrational for much longer than you can stay solvent. | stegrego
10/10/2006 12:41 | This drop is way overdone if i had more funds i would top up,this is pure sentiment. | deemule
10/10/2006 12:40 | gmc are very much associated with the online gaming sector, but the name change will hope to reflect that profits come primarily from advertising rather than real money online sites which with hindsight our failure to succeed in that arena was probably a blessing. If the potentially lost US advertising revenue can be quickly replaced then not a lot has changed apart from sentiment which will stay rock bottom for some time to come. We shall see just how good the Drummonds deal making is now. Too late to sell and too early to buy i would say. But if they can hook it all up, they will one day look very cheap once again. | moneymaker6
10/10/2006 12:26 | Senator, I've been on this board long enough to see speculation about 'the bottom' at 14p, 13p, 12p, 11p, 10p, 9p, 8p, 7p, 6p, and now 5p. I'm sure we'll all be speculating about 4p, 3p and 2p shortly whilst the directors fiddle as the gambling sector burns. At a time when GMC should be reaping the benefits of this US debacle, they have still done nothing about the fact that gambling.com is still off the radar on a Yahoo! search for 'gambling'. | jackthetrader
10/10/2006 12:15 | Will there be resistence at 5P? Will we see a double bottom. Surely this would be a strong sign from a tech analysis point of view. Sector very nervous ahead of US president signing legislation. Even without any US exposure, sector sentiment is weighing on GMC. This will only be lifted when the sector as a whole finds direction on how it will (or will not) tackle the US market. I find it staggering to believe that the industry would turn its back on the US. We are dependant upon much of the revenue from these companies. | senator
10/10/2006 12:04 | Soggy, there was discussion on the board about this a few days ago. Both TA and millionaire said they thought of the idea first. Everyone seems to agree that it's a good idea for GMC to try to disassociate itself from the gaming sector. | jackthetrader
10/10/2006 11:42 | I've just received a notification of their intention to change their name to Media Corporation. I haven't seen any discussion of this on the BB (did I just miss it???) Does anyone think the name change will have any material effect? Does it signify an intention to move into other areas? | soggy
10/10/2006 11:39 | Based on what I have seen so far 4p and I am in, 3.5p will put my shirt on this! | grey_wolf
10/10/2006 10:49 | Geez you guys are like cats on a hot tin roof. I guess a few will be nervous after what's happened in this sector, but it will all settle down...take a few deep breaths ;-) | outsider
10/10/2006 10:40 | Could this share hit 4p on the current negative sentiment? Many nervous shareholders right now! | saifon
10/10/2006 10:30 | Any views on share price movement today and trades yesterday? I am surprised nobody is monitoring this with concern. | millionaire
10/10/2006 09:11 | Morning all, anybody had any luck calling Gaming Corporation for confirmation of the figures? I called last thursday and was politely told that a date would be given this week. | millionaire
09/10/2006 22:24 | well it certainly is encouraging that after what appeared to be sells of 2.5 mill shares the offer price was raised from 5.5 to 6. i agree, you can't always assume things are as black and white as we interpret them. | barryrog
09/10/2006 22:14 | Logic. After such indistinguishable trades,if the price is up-then the balance means overall-Buying-NOT selling. Never try and judge what you dont understand and are not meant to-simply judge the closing share price-which is up,which means the balance of trades is quite simply on the BUY side. I cannot guarantee what will happen tomorrow with so many trading/gambling losers, but for today it is a BUY. Amen. | richgit
09/10/2006 21:10 | Internet Gambling Bill to be Protested in D.C. on Monday October 8, 2006 - The press will be in Washington D.C. on Monday because it is Columbus Day and while they are filming the day's festivities they will be greeted by protestors to the Internet Gambling Prohibition Bill. The bill is expected to be signed on Friday the 13th but protestors are requesting that the president reconsider. According to organizer Debbie Richardson, "many things can happen as a result of the protest." The Port Security Bill is considered to be a highly important piece of legislation that will most definitely be signed by President Bush, Richardson explained to us. She went on to say that Bush is allowed to strip away add on bills to bills he is signing so that they can be sent back to Congress to be debated and voted on as individual bills. Richardson, who will be in Washington D.C on Sunday in order to set up for Monday's protest, believes it is highly important to voice opinions in Washington before Friday the 13th in order that the president has time to consider the strong opposition to the bill. Richardson also believes it is important to be there on Monday because that is when the press will be there. "If we don't fight for our rights and our freedom we lose," says Richardson. "We are urging all supporters of freedom to go to Washington to protest the bill that would stop online gaming. Everyone that can possibly go needs to show up and fight for freedom." Demonstrators will meet in front of the Washington Monument on Monday, October 9th at 9am est. A large turn out is expected. If you are planning to attend the protest and are unable to make it to the Washington Monument on time, you can meet the protestors in front of the White House on Pennsylvania Ave, Richardson told us. If you would like more info or need to call to find out where to meet, contact Debbie Richardson by phone: 910-619-0563 or by email: drichardson @ bizec.rr.com. "Tell your roomies to demonstrate, tell your friends to demonstrate, tell your family to demonstrate. In fact, tell as many people as you can to demonstrate," Richardson says, "if enough people show up to fight for our rights we can make a difference. "If we let them take this right away from us," she says, "what will be next?" Posted By Larry Rutherford Staff Editor, CasinoGamblingWeb.co | cath57
09/10/2006 15:44 | IMO if this was a dump then the MM's would want top shift it on therefor narrow the spread but they have done the opposite? So we may see someone taking the stock on after the bell?? | quinan
09/10/2006 15:10 | Does somebody want out at any price? Or does somebody want in? Curiously entertaining. | millionaire
09/10/2006 11:24 | It never does........ the only way this will move upwards is with a positive announcement on figures or a bid. The Company seems to be void of good news of late and doubts are lingering as the silence remains. | millionaire
09/10/2006 11:12 | That didn't last long. | paulo2
09/10/2006 09:53 | Bes I think the market has been hit by WGP news today, but as GMC have no US involvement I feel this is a far safer bet at the mo, therefore I am taking advantage of the low share price Won't see theses prices in 3 months time more like 10-15p IMO, also GVC doing very well for me. | quinan
09/10/2006 09:53 | In his post, Bengo. That should get the buyers flooding in. LOL | paulo2 |
