02/1/2008 17:17 | 5 bagger and GME is like chalk and cheese. | murtceps7
02/1/2008 13:36 | Share price hits 5 times your buy price. | ![]() david77
02/1/2008 13:26 | I'm new to a lot of this terminology - what does "5 bagger" mean? | vimneedshelp
01/1/2008 17:11 | Happy new yr to all Brownson whats the epic for kensington? thanks in advance | ![]() chestnuts
01/1/2008 01:34 | The kensington shares which were spun off in the US have performed really well to date. Looking like a real winner. Glad to have them | ![]() brownson
27/12/2007 14:36 | Reduced my holding today by 20k because i think i can make up the 2.5p elswhere before this pays out 16p..... | murtceps7
27/12/2007 13:34 | Ah, the results: Likes: 1. Increased t/over 2. Implementing cost cuttings Dislikes: 1. Net liabilities £22m!! ouch 2. Cash - lots less than last year at c£900k, (but loan is now available - how much) 3. Comments on time to re non-profitable contracts, and reneg. previous ones, & challenging nature. 4. 'Unaudited' line at top of the figures. 5. Gross profit is commented on but margin is therefore only 7% - a long way short of revised down AG figures of 15-25%. 6. No comments on repeat orders (higher margins), nor when these come into play. 7. Comments on new staff, but no RNS's re these people, or their past records. On balance, I don't like the past, or this set of results (as we know well short of expectations). Had there not been a t/o in progress would we be at the 5p Schroders price?? Will EMER go ahead with these liabilities prior to "rengotiating the contracts profitably" (which I think would take us beyond the Feb 14th date??) - I just don't know if this built into their offer?? How long will the Spring monies last. Looking forward GME may make it, but have decided to take 15% profits on my small 10,000 shares to invest elsewhere where there is more certainty, much reduced lead times, less cash demand, greater margins (7% IMO is way, way too low, and there's no guarantee companies otherwise satisfied with GME would pass further repeat business when GME's future is uncertain). Probably be a 5 bagger now ...lol. Good luck all...I hope this eventually turns for those still in. | the_owl
24/12/2007 23:42 | still think this will be a 5 bagger now they have been sussed | gwp23
24/12/2007 09:18 | incompetence doesn't even begin to describe it Hope they choke on their caviar.... | murtceps7
24/12/2007 09:15 | so they sold even more 30k BMWs (that they bought for 25k) for 15k than last year. Fantastic business model!!! | ![]() pomp circumstance
24/12/2007 08:48 | How on earth could I have got mixed up in a company that has results out 24th December at 7.30. It is a lesson to any would be trader. The directors are in charge of your money and their behaviour is upmost. | ![]() volvo
24/12/2007 07:38 | The directors are pleased to note that there has been a significant increase in turnover in this half year compared to the same period last year. Turnover for this period exceeds the turnover for the whole of the year to 31 March 2007. Turnover will continue to grow as GME delivers its current order book. Despite significant provisions for losses on contracts to be delivered in the future the Company produced a gross profit. The Company will continue to look for ways of increasing gross margin in the future through a mixture of greater sales values and lower construction costs. | gwp23
23/12/2007 00:35 | especially the new bidder | gwp23
21/12/2007 10:57 | Happy Christmas everyone. | the_owl
20/12/2007 18:00 | Happy Christmas chaps and all the best for the new year....... | steves2
20/12/2007 16:04 | If only........... John Wood Group One of the companies that has benefited from spending by oil and mining companies is oil rig supplier John Wood Group. The shares, up 69% this year, are buoyed by the continuing queue to use the equipment and engineers that the company has. The company has also moved to position itself for the Canadian oil sands projects by acquiring in November the privately-owned Canadian engineering firm IMV Corporation. This £65 million deal should, according to brokers Credit Suisse, add 4% a year to Wood's earnings per share from 2008 onwards. Though the shares are unlikely to perform in 2008 as well as this year, they may still be worth a look. | steves2
20/12/2007 14:03 | Well things are looking good - GME rising, Tesco's 'bout to break out (very good RR on this one), and even SEO has stopped going down...lol | the_owl
20/12/2007 11:48 | Yep. Fingers crossed on interims ... | the_owl
20/12/2007 08:51 | Everyone is just waking up to free money. At 13p you still make 24pc in 3 months. At 10.5p which it was a week ago it was an opportunity to get back some money that was taken from us.The Gartmore news means this deal will complete. | ![]() volvo
20/12/2007 08:50 | i wanted to buy more recently but ive got so many i didnt want to risk anthing else. Fortunatley i had 20k at 7p and 100k at 10p to average down my load a bit! | ![]() pomp circumstance
20/12/2007 08:48 | I had just over 700,000 of these at one time but sold the lot so that I could buy the rest of the shares from my spread-bet account 31 days ago. I sold some African Copper at a loss recently to raise cash for my CGT bill after Christmas. I've already spent most of that on Jetion - the last bit went on the 25,000 GME at the opening bell today. The tax man will have to wait. | ![]() david77
19/12/2007 22:05 | EMER can purchase shares at any price up to and including 16P a share right up to whenever the official offer date transpires. They saved themselves a quick £105K today which will all help with the costs. Word in the US of A is that Emer have met the new team, agreed with the removal of most of the top execs and happy with what they see transpiring. Perhaps they are worried that if the new team turns things around that the price may be heading North !! JJ | celeden |
