Top end 560 coming.as said should get .coal demand prices be high this winter been year if el- nino

Yes in general that has to be viewed as a positive production report.

I can't see it looking like it though from a share price point of view today but expect it to be reflected in time as the budget gets out of the way.

Third Quarter 2024 Production Report

Glencore Chief Executive Officer, Gary Nagle:

“Our full-year 2024 production guidance has again been maintained and reflects the additional steelmaking coal volumes that have contributed to our portfolio since closing of the EVR transaction on 11 July 2024.

“During the current quarter, key anticipated quarterly sequential production improvements have been achieved, notably at African Copper +6kt (+13% Q3/Q2), Antapaccay +9kt (+35% Q3/Q2), Kazzinc +13kt (+27% Q3/Q2), Murrin Murrin +1kt (+7% Q3/Q2) and Australian energy coal +3.6mt (+27% Q3/Q2).

“Basis Marketing’s performance year to date, we continue to expect full year Marketing Adjusted EBIT in the $3.0-$3.5 billion range, being around the top end of our long-term $2.2-3.2 billion p.a. guidance range.”

Personally I think figures a good some low but others higher especially coal @ +113% it main earner gold 1k less but vastly improved price ,looking forward it looks encouraging,BUT what will the market DOOMSTERS make of it ,we will see I will add to my other Glen shares price permitting .

Antamina, partly owned by Glencore and one of the world's biggest mines produced 26% more copper in August than the prior year. The H1 production report said copper gains in H2 would come from Africa & Asia, so agreed on a better than expected report this week.

Why 2 days before production report come out with a buy, surely best to wait a couple of days, see the rns, then say buy, sell or hold.Seems strange to me.
