18/9/2017 08:14 | £ strong again not good for our dollar earnings and dividends. | montyhedge
16/9/2017 18:20 | well my portfolio has seen a battering since Tuesday. Investing today seems to be down to non company specifics and random news events anywhere else in the world. It feels more like gambling than ever where UK shares take a drubbing linked to any adverse news item worldwide. This week has been no exception and there has been events ranging from a hurricane in Cuba, a test missile somewhere in the pacific, currency movement and a fire in a bucket on a train has decimated my holding. If the movement of my so called solid defensive shares is totally dependent on such things there seems little point in holding them because there will always be adverse news happening some place, somewhere in the world. Im now half expecting another random tweet by a nutter over the weekend which will send them spiralling again first thing on Monday. Maybe someone in the world will get out the bed wrong side and we will see them crash completely. | vickiitwo2
16/9/2017 11:07 | EssWould not BT yet, pension review due, auction for airwaves due soon. | montyhedge
16/9/2017 10:36 | Barnhart.com shows this at 100% sell funny how all the analysts are cutting the share price target. It may take a while for gsk to get their act together! It may take a while...gsk should cut the dividend and pay down its debt | mj19
15/9/2017 17:10 | So much for my blue finish - wishful thinking on my part. Just have to cry into my beer bought with the divi. Going to hold though. Come Spring next year, it'll come up smelling like roses again. FTSE trashed because BOE just might raise interest rates by 0.0000000001%. Exports have been doing a roaring trade with the £ depressed. | marine boy
15/9/2017 16:09 | Monty, BT.A looks interesting, provided there is no further bad news, would not get the farm on it by any means. If the UKX continues down may be available lower. Apologies off topic. | essentialinvestor
15/9/2017 15:23 | Ess The vaccine I had private doctor recommended, £160 its a live vaccine, GSK not live I don't think, is it better, don't know, also thats what the doctors will possibly say. Lol not even approved yet. Trading note if we break 1400p next week I see 1325p. | montyhedge
15/9/2017 15:14 | Second small lot. Have to admit getting a little lucky with my previous sale mentioned here at the time. Luck tends to balance out though!. Might be a time not to buy anything. | essentialinvestor
15/9/2017 15:13 | Year low 14.47 so it may get near to 14.00Monty may be right unless Glaxo get new drug approval which is multi bagger | action
15/9/2017 15:07 | Tim3 many thanks. | action
15/9/2017 14:51 | Alp, the vaccine is being questioned in terms of effectiveness, again!. I'm taking a view that something is hopefully better than nothing. | essentialinvestor
15/9/2017 14:47 | Monty it was north of £15 for starters..but then u weee busy getting your vaccine:) | badtime
15/9/2017 14:15 | Essential - take care. "The flu hit Australia harder than it should have this year because the most common strain appears to have mutated since it was formulated into the vaccine, with Britain set to face the same problem". | alphorn
15/9/2017 13:56 | Got my flu vaccine booked, with what's happened in Australia not skipping it this year. Expected low 1450's on this type of FX move. | essentialinvestor
15/9/2017 13:52 | When as it gone north? lol. Forget about vaccines etc, its all down to traders and a strong pound, thats bad for the dollar earners. 1385p target . | montyhedge
15/9/2017 13:10 | And Monty returns when share price heads south ..quiet as a church mouse when it goes north :))))) | badtime
15/9/2017 12:37 | The positive opinion on closed triple is helping moderate the decline, somewhat. GSK have high hopes for this. It was odds on to be approved, however to see concrete evidence is good. | essentialinvestor
15/9/2017 11:44 | Action If share goes sub £14.60 will be lowest its been for 15 months. | tim 3
15/9/2017 11:27 | Thought there might be an opportunity today we mentioned yesterday, had a small amount, surprised it's not lower. | essentialinvestor
15/9/2017 11:11 | The strong pound will kill the FTSE 100 run. | montyhedge
15/9/2017 11:06 | I do not understand why this one voing down even after brokers r upgrade | action
15/9/2017 11:03 | Tim3 what is 15 month low pls? | action
15/9/2017 10:33 | romeike No they are not bonds, but when you know what dividend you will get every year, I can tell you all being well the GSK dividend in two years will be 80p. Its like a bond I said. Ord shares dividends should go up not stay the same for years. NY Boy 1385p. If the pound strengthens. | montyhedge |
