26/9/2022 08:59 | Weak pound is indeed good news for overseas USD earners. The one thing troubling me (well, one of many things, in truth!) is how long the USD can continue its charge. At some point, it is going to come down hard IMO. Probably at the point when we see the next collapse of the stock markets and various housing markets. Assuming the FED does pivot before too much longer. That would be when the dollar crashes too I think. No good roads to take at this stage IMO. Just trying to decide which are the least bad routes. Agree with the sentiment that big pharma tends to be one of the safer havens, but not convinced yet that GSK or similar will avoid another soaking before too long. US markets today are front and centre of my mind right now. Hence my thinking of 1200 here for example. I am open to suggestions though and miracle-workers especially welcome :) | lovewinshatelosses

24/9/2022 22:59 | Exactly how I feel pol23-just collected my monthly few grand in divis-this time from BHP, barc and ?cey in addition to a relaxing day or twos work paying another grand a week and will await my GSK when it comes and maybe buy more if price drops. These volatile markets are a bonus for divi investors as well (who usually have cash) Great divi bargains at present and being long term with divis makes the share price gyrations irrelevant, except to highly strung and leveraged traders who populate these boards and are loosing hand over foot at present. Tough. Try the divi game-it works and better to get in low like now-and GSK's is decent and WILL increase with time. | cumnor
24/9/2022 22:43 | Most people who appear panicky on the BBs are traders who are on the wrong side of the trade. As sure as day follows night this will rise again. Long term holders are more relaxed, seen it all before !! | pol123

23/9/2022 16:59 | I need to look at averaging down here but am not sure 1285 ish is the bottom. I know the weak pound helps but will this go sub 1250 next week?? Has anyone else been picking any up over the past couple of sessions? | tuftymatt

22/9/2022 22:22 | Anyone expect GSK and Pfizer to start dumping their Haleon share holders from 10th November onwards to fund Zantac litigation legal costs especially as Haleon told them to get stuffed regarding their indemnities? | paul planet earth
22/9/2022 22:19 | Hands up anyone who thought spinning off the Consumer Business was a success for half the price Unilever offered? | paul planet earth
22/9/2022 11:07 | Lies, dam lies and broker notes :) I do not see a 50% upside in this market, let alone the market of 2023, but if I get the chance to get back in, I would be satisfied with 25% or so. If the business looks like it is finally going to become the real heavy hitter that many of us hoped in previous years, I would happily add it to my long term hold stocks again. But that is to be seen.... | lovewinshatelosses
22/9/2022 10:59 | I should say a 50% discount to previously projected price would be a gift .... ;0) | tradermichael
22/9/2022 10:55 | 1200 would probably be the time I returned to GSK, in spite of my (IMO justified) lack of faith in EW. Unless some further bad company-specific news came up, I think that would represent a price too low to ignore. | lovewinshatelosses
22/9/2022 10:32 | Yes, and GSK in an earlier life was a leader in UT infection treatments (e.g. TMP). | tradermichael |
