GIP-----Pab.Basically ,the panic over the delisting on London AIM market is over.
But as always----because this is a multi-bagging opportunity if only the finance can be obtained to dig out the Tantalum mountain at Abbudab .
Many people know this as factand a few more have put their money on developments taking place .

[There are other irons in the fire gold ,tin etc but this is the real deal]

As an act of faith Idoubled my holding just prior to the delisting which now leaves me with approx.1p ie 2 Aussie cents p/s loss position, which under the present circumstances is fine for me right now.

I hope to be back in profit soon.

Don't worry Shadowchaser I google tantalum everyday to pick up any news. The tantalum price however should not be a problem with a most of Gip competition out of the picture also already looks high enough historically when you compare it to when Gip first arranged it's offtake with Starck.

Of course Starck may have got cold feet with the downturn and a reduction in demand but now they are probably looking several years ahead so as long as the tin price holds up as well, Gip should (cross fingers) be able to do a deal.

Copy of my post hotcopper

"Tantalum deficit, electronic devices may cost more" another sneaky P.R piece by Commerce resources. Rather shoot themselves in the foot with this quote though "Commerce's Blue River project is in the development/pre-feasibility stage and we are working towards becoming a stable, ethical, and reliable source of tantalum" still in pre-feasibility stage in other words they still do not know if the Blue River resource will be viable let alone all the other stages it would have to go through.

Disappointed that no one has posted on the the thread below.

This is a deal to invest in tantalum mining being arranged at the highest government level and while people may be annoyed that Gip has not got it's own deal yet it shows that a deal for Abu Dabbab is very possible.

It also suggest that the "dirty" tantalum trade is not thought to be able to handle the short fall in the total tantalum trade by Kazakhstan who have been involved in it in the past. The mention of tantalum being used in reactors is a reminder that tantalum has many strategic uses and Governments are going to want to a reliable supply of it. Doubt increased production from Brazil will hurt Gip at all in fact it will help keep the tantalum industry healthy or Gip getting too greedy.

To steal Commerce's quote Gip is working towards becoming "a stable, ethical, and reliable source of tantalum" which is likely to be a lot cheaper than commerce's even if CCE ever get of the ground.

GIP-Yes ,tin price ......OKAAAAAAAY---

But surely the main game here is the TANTALUM mountain, and certainly the reason I invested in Captain Jack's project in Egypt.

The news of secured financing to exploit this resource is the real story we need to hear.

Funny you get one piece on the internet that suggests investing in tantalum is a waste of time because of the "dirty" tantalum trade followed by a piece of news that involves a country investing in clean tantalum that has a history of being involved in the dirty tantalum trade.

Kazakhstan is a dictatorship and a nasty one at that and will not feel any regret in buying any dodgy tantalum it can get its hand on. Certainly like the Russians and the Chinese has shown no reluctance in the past. However Kazakhstan is trying to modernise and obviously thinks it needs supplies of clean tantalum as well so this does undermine any suggestion that there is no room for a clean tantalum industry.

In the past i may have been worried by the competition but i think things have gotten to the stage where some competition will actually keep the tantalum industry healthy as Gip can not be expected to supply the whole industry single handed (not for a while anyway!).

Robert

Don't want to steal your thunder Scarva but have dug out some more links to go with the main story. That might help with a constructive discussion.

marksnsparkle,

I can understand why you may prefer to focus on other stocks during this hiatus (I feel the same myself). But please come back when/if more substantial newsflow appears as your input is appreciated and valued.

Marksnsparkle think we agree on most things about Gip though a observer might not think so. I want Gip to be a success and i still think it will be in spite of the roller-coaster ride. We are bound to have more posts where we arguing though as if we agree on something we will either not post as there is less point or say we agree which usually takes a couple of lines and just one post.

If two people disagree on something and both have the courage of their convictions and have the ability to marshal some kind argument to support their view it is bound to lead to long argument's a lot of the time.

In fact i am cutting my side of arguments shorter nowadays by agreeing to disagree or shutting up after Unionhall steps in with the yellow card. If you think i am hogging the board which is understandable considering the large number of posts i put out i would be happy to give us both break and stop posting here for a week or two.

If i did not have at least some respect for your posts i would not even bother to argue with you but would just ignore you so you can take it as a backhanded compliment that i spend the time doing so.

I may be a little more short with you than you deserve sometimes but even i can get tired of a long argument when i have a ton of stuff to do but it would seem more ruder to me to just ignore someone.

Hope you can at least pop in from time to time to say hello and see if we are all rich yet!

Robert

P.s will be out most of tomorrow so that should give people a break for a start.

See you around maybe ... maybe not

robjm66,

You just continue to dig even bigger holes on planet Zog with regard to this whole gold licence issue!

But perhaps Marksnsparkle is right that it is futile to argue!

Explorers get their financing from seed investors NOT banks. Banks lend to DEVELOPERS once an economic prospect is proven up to a BFS standard.

The focus for GIP remains the AD project pure and simple. Any wild talk of their gold prospects is just rampant speculation until they put some work and money into actually finding something with the drill bit.

end of story!!
