Is the price dip just from profit takers you reckon or something else?

Lovely set of results again, and we thought the cu grades were good. Very decent intersects in the over lying gold oxide zone. No pre-strip, thick intersects at good grades. I can't wait to see the JORC when it arrives for KB, Au is gonna be impressive not just the Cu.

Where are the major risks? The precious metals appear to be there in situ and the Georgian territory appears to be cooperative and open? Which other risks are you referring to?

@iloveit. IMO its too early for a take out. Too much risk.. they need a resource 10 to 20 times what they have now or a VERY risk-accepting buyer. I reckon if the partner's shares rolls into GEO, only then will a (Western) buyer consider it.

Well at 23p a share takeover target looking very likely.I think 45p - 60p at this level.Watching today's trades as prob large chunk being worked.Institutional buy at around 30-40p seems likely .Price needs to move up rapidly to save it from being taken out rapidly at still this bargain price.

I'm a relatively recent investor to Georgian had my eggs mainly in bluejay mining's basket but 'diversifying' slightly. It's a question only for me of how much I invest in Georgia NOT if. I don't believe I'm too late to enjoy the golden copper Georgian party..

Breaking down assessment in 2 sections:

EXPLORATION:
If you look at the latest presentation, its KB GZ 2 results is what we’re waiting for (and to be announced soon, I believe early next week.

They have so far only drilled shallow holes in GZ2, so the extra money raised will go to drilling down to 600m to find copper mineralisation and connect GZ2 with CU Zone 1. Based on the cheap exploration cost in Georgia, the should be able to drill at least 25 – 30 600m holes in GZ 2.

GZ 1 has had very little (if any?) exploration, and if you look at the whole KB area, Zones 1, 2 and 3 only make up around half of total KB surface area.

PRODUCTION:
I believe there’s a trip being planned to Georgia very shortly to (I assume) hash out the deal with the JV partner. This could see them produce by August or September already since there is no pre-strip.
Should they hash out a production deal (even with no more exploration upside), it will yield $25m p/a to GEO, meaning this stock might just hit £1 by Q1 or Q2 next year.

SUMMARY/MY PREDICTION:
If next announcement is anything like KB GZ1 news about a month ago, this stock is worth 40 – 45p pretty much immediately, and will then keep building since it will clearly become a contender for a potential large discovery. Mining Journal have already picked up on this.
I believe GEO is an exploration play over production (in next 12 – 18 months despite any production), but they are in a unique (and I stress UNIQUE) position to fund their own exploration, which massively de-risk it for us PI’s in terms of dilution.
Having worked and invested in mining for 15 years, most (95%+) of junior company CEO’s, usually Geologists hash out the same line.. “we are going to fund exploration with near-term production..”..bulls*it”, as you don’t have a plant! However, GEO has the access. I therefore think an announced JV deal will have material impact on the stock…most likely Q3 17.

The big risk for me is the market’s perception of a Russian partner. Keep in mind this partner has sold businesses to FTSE listed companies and he’s still a shareholder in the FTSE listed company from what I understand, so I feel as comfortable as I can be knowing the partner is Russian! Never say never, but I think the risk is minimal (hold breath!).

IMO the best thing they can possibly do is not only agree the JV, but roll the JV partner’s shares into GEO so its “100% owned”. Then it’ll really attract a lot more attention especially as it might then be a $100m company sometime next year so different II’s will get interested.

Roll on summer….

Iloveit,

I seriously hope not. Last thing I want to see here is a cheap takeover at £1 or under. Look at the assets they acquired, they're looking to convert millions Oz of Russian resources to JORC, the world class Cu discovery is just a bonus. This has easily mid cap potential in the next 3-5 years, they've only a fraction of the asset and its 14 targets drilled so far.

Regards,
Ed.
