Posted at 12/7/2011 16:35 by norbert colon Thanks. Have you seen on the other GKR thread below this one that another holder seems to have received his money on 28th March. I have hence emailed my broker to enquire.Nobby |
Posted at 08/10/2008 14:22 by ianbrewster Anyone know what is going on??The last RNS expected GKR to de-list on 1st Oct... |
Posted at 17/9/2008 08:33 by scburbs Morning Barnetpeter,I certainly hope that they are! It would still represent a takeover on very cheap terms, but having heavily topped up at around 9p an exit at 20p is ok for me too. On the other hand selling 40% of my investment at 20p and holding 60% in a private US non-dividend paying company would be far from satisfactory! |
Posted at 15/8/2008 08:47 by hugepants Incidentally for a company that always makes a profit but has never paid a dividend where has all the cash gone they raised at floatation? The answer is on acquisitions. |
Posted at 11/8/2008 09:09 by hugepants I think it would be prudent given current conditions to assume GKR dont meet their expections. However they did make the statement "...our profit before taxfor 2008 is expected to be at least U$4.0 million with an EPS of $0.07.." on 5th May which was 1/3 of the way through their financial year. They must have had decent visibility to make that statement. They are setting themselves up to look like a shower of idiots if they dont meet these numbers. |
Posted at 08/8/2008 17:49 by scburbs Masurenguy,They can be traded online. Unless they have changed policy, TDW were offering trades in this company. I was holding shares in GKR through them, although these have been sold and replaced by sb's. I don't expect much of a share price move until the next results. If they deliver on their profit forecasts then it should be a very positive move. However, there recent track record on such forecasts is not great as you know! |
Posted at 08/5/2008 17:48 by amla agree with Masurenguy:this is not an actively traded share and can languish for months.I bought at 52p and for a variety of reasons,am still holding....won't go into that now! This is still a very small cap. They have made a paltry profit this time if you consider turnover. However, ser The high peak electricity thing is interesting,too...be We have the possibility for a big share price gap up...but,this company is not on the radar yet. However, today's dramatic rise proves that we're not dead!I was beginning to feel that I was the sole investor. Pity their figures are in dollars.Always a bit offputting for the london market.I think this has to be a longtime hold. |
Posted at 08/5/2008 15:48 by the big fella HP - They have over 2 mil unrealised tax losses on the balance sheet so it's a bit harsh when they won't be paying tax next year.Working capital - fine, but just wanted to point out they have over a 5th of the market cap in cash (flavour of the month I am sure you will agree). BTW they don't have any intangibles / goodwill on their balance sheet (certainly can't say that about GKR). |
Posted at 08/5/2008 08:45 by chesty1 Well done hugepants & I hope you have filled em. (with shares in GKR). |
Posted at 08/5/2008 07:47 by scburbs Now that wasn't so hard was it GKR management. I don't see why these explanations couldn't have been included with the profit warning. Gross profit remaining strong and fall in profit is not due to unprofitable contracts, but the expansion of admin and sales costs for a turnover increase that didn't materialise. This is excellent news as I was worrying they might have unprofitable contracts and would need large stock writedowns etc. Cash flow was also very solid. Best of all though was the outlook statement (although they have lost a little creditibility re: forecasts!). "Outlook With the addition of projected net profitability from our recent acquisitions and anticipated growth of our existing product offerings, our profit before tax for 2008 is expected to be at least U$4.0 million with an EPS of $0.07." and H1 2008 looks set fair. "Additionally, a significant portion of our US order pipeline in the final months of the year was not converted into sales. We expect most of this business to convert in the first half of 2008." |
