Director Dealing / Grant of Options

    GARNER PLC ("GARNER" OR THE "COMPANY")                     

                      DIRECTOR DEALING / GRANT OF OPTIONS                      

The Board of Garner announces that on 19 December 2007, it granted options to
certain staff and a director to subscribe for in aggregate 1,758,437 new
ordinary shares in the Company of 1p each ("Ordinary Shares") pursuant to its
Enterprise Management Incentive Share Option Scheme.

The key terms of the options are set out below:

Exercise price:     5.63p per Ordinary Share

Exercise period:    subject to certain provisions the options may be exercised
                    from the first anniversary of the date of grant

No performance conditions were attached to the grant of options. The options
will expire on the tenth anniversary of the date of grant.

DIRECTOR DEALING

Included in the options referred to above are 888,099 granted to Sue O'Brien, a
director of the Company.

As at the date of this notification Sue O'Brien has an interest in 928,571
Ordinary Shares representing approximately 2.4 per cent. of the issued share
capital of the Company and options over 888,099 Ordinary Shares.

The issued share capital of the Company is 37,968,937 Ordinary Shares.

The total number of options issued by the Company is 1,758,437 representing
approximately 4.6 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
