NetPlay TV now has TWO Freeview TV Channels (48 and 49) !

NetPlay TV - owners of Super Casino that was recently launched on Freeview - have added another channel to the Freeview EPG on channel 49. The channel is simply called NetPlay TV. It's not 100% known what will broadcast on it, but it has been spotted at certain times of the day it has been showing infomercials (Teleshopping). More news as we get it. Rocks & Co was expected to launch on this channel number on the 22nd January, so perhaps Rocks & Co will just air on this NetPlay TV channel sharing it with other things."




Might this be a future NetPlay TV bingo channel ? Major news if it is !

"...Among others, NetPlay TV Plc recently took an initiative in quest to building greater loyalty. It acquired a digital terrestrial television licence to operate a 24-hour dedicated Freeview channel, becoming the first interactive gaming company to do so. The company will broadcast its services, including Supercasino.com and Live Bingo on Freeview Channel 48. Freeview is the UK's largest digital TV platform with over 15.3m users.

NetPlay TV now broadcasts its services, including Supercasino.com and Live Bingo on three of the four digital TV platforms, Freeview, Sky, and Freesat, giving it a total addressable audience of over 23 million homes in the UK. Historically the company has bought spare capacity on the Freeview platform from other broadcasters, such as Virgin and Nuts TV. In securing its own dedicated channel the company will be able to drive users to its own channel thus building greater loyalty.

Last year, the company's Martin Higginson CEO and executive chairman had stated: "In early 2009, we will move all of our bingo internet sites to one common pan-European site, www.Eurobingo.com. The game of bingo benefits from the maximum number of players, the more players the greater the jackpot. Offering pan-European games means larger jackpots for our players, as well as an improved margin for the house. In territories where we do not have a TV presence, we will stream the live TV show straight to the Internet. With improved bandwidth live TV is becoming more and more accessible to our player base. This move will create Europe's largest multi-platform bingo game."

The company is already allowing players to play bingo simultaneously on both the web and TV. In November last year, it announced the launch of the Swedish version of Bingos.com. The Swedish site was initially launched online and the company had then shared plans of integrating its TV and mobile products shortly after. Bingos.com already operates as an Internet site in the UK, Spain, Italy and Poland...."

It appears to me from the Supercasino website broadcast schedule that NetPlay TV's new Freeview Channel 48 currently features live roulette with live presenters from 18:00 to 04:00 and automated roulette from 04:00 to 18:00 seven days a week.

Does anyone know when the bingo broadcasts are due to start?

I gather NetPlayTV's new gaming channel started broadcasting on Freeview Channel 48 at 6.00pm today. I haven't seen it yet as my set top box isn't working. I'm told the content is very impressive. Anybody out there who has tuned in wish to add any comments ?

Well speaking as someone who bought some more GVC today I would suggest it may be something to do with being valued at £35m, having about £20m in the bank and hopefully going to announce a profit of £20m for 2008.

Nothing particular, except that the fall to below a pound, with no news from the company that trading was anything but in line with market expectations, was obviously overdone. When you look at the yield of over 30% it is ridiculously cheap. The fall in sterling, as the div is calculated in euros but paid in sterling, has significantly enhanced the payout to shareholders. Finally, the numbers playing poker is rising rapidly. Over the past six months the numbers have increased by at least 30%.

All these factors are helping a re-rating of the stock, hence the buying.

"Interactive gaming company NetPlay TV (NPT) announced the acquisition of Venturygames.co.uk and Toucanwin.com, the mobile gambling and skill gaming businesses of Info-download. Info-download is a subsidiary of Zed Worldwide, which took a stake in NetPlay TV some months ago and will now increase its holding to 13.76%. The shares-only deal is worth 1 million pounds. NetPlay TV has signed an exclusive two-year sales agreement with Zed to sell the NetPlay TV interactive gaming range to its 130-plus mobile network operator client base worldwide. It will also acquire the UK mobile quiz business 'Grab a Grand' from Info-download, whose weekly quiz currently has more than 11,000 subscribers. The businesses acquired currently generate monthly gross revenues of around 500,000 pounds. Revenue growth has been "extremely aggressive increasing by over 200% in fewer than six months". Shares in the firm climbed 1.25p to 24.75p on news of the deal."

NetPlay TV boosts gaming offering and agrees strategic deal with Zed

"Interactive gaming group NetPlay TV has bolstered its armoury of games and services by acquiring two mobile and internet gaming businesses from entertainment group Zed Worldwide.

As part of the deal NetPlay has also signed an exclusive two year sales agreement with Zed to sell the NetPlay TV range of interactive gaming solutions to its client base of more than 130 mobile network operators around the world.

NetPlay snapped up mobile casino and bingo operator Venturygames.co.uk and skill-based gaming business Toucanwin.com from Zed for £1 million in shares. The deal also includes the UK mobile quiz business, 'Grab a Grand'. It takes Zed's holding in NetPlay TV to 13.76%, following a major share purchase last year.

NetPlay is hoping the Venturygames.co.uk deal will give it a boost in the emerging market for gambling on mobile phones. The operation has grown rapidly over the past few months with the value of bets placed currently exceeding £400,000 per month.

Likewise, Toucanwin.com was established by Zed several months ago to exploit the growing 'skill' gaming business, which NetPlay reckons offers an excellent medium in countries where gambling is not allowed.

A second one year strategic relationship with Zed allows NetPlay to exploit the mobile development skill base of Zed Worldwide which has 200 full time mobile developers.
