16/3/2006 01:28 | Directorate Change FuturaGene PLC FuturaGene Plc ("FuturaGene" or "the Company") Directorate Change Following the completion of an internal review, announced on 23 November 2005, it is with regret that the Board of FuturaGene announces that it has terminated the appointment of the Group Chief Executive, Bruno Ruggiero with immediate effect. Kannan Grant will continue to discharge the responsibilities of Chief Executive, and a further announcement about a permanent appointment will be made in due course. The board also announces the appointment of Peter Anthony Toynton FCA, age 62, as a non-executive director. Peter brings to the Board both his financial expertise and a wide business experience of growing and quoted companies. He has held appointments as Group Finance Director of Tempus Group plc and was non-executive chairman of Poulter Group Limited, SBS Group PLC (SBS), and a non-executive Director of Tempus Group PLC. He is currently a director of Redfern Gallery Limited and Heritage Galleries Limited. His appointment strengthens the resources and capabilities of the Board and reflects the company's future development plans. Joint Administrative Receivers of SBS were appointed on 19th September 2003. On 10th March 2004 the Receivers resigned and at SBS' EGM held on the same day, SBS' shareholders approved the directors' proposal that SBS enter into a Company Voluntary Arrangement in which creditors received new shares in SBS Group plc in settlement of any debt due to them.
