Such a shame, when I invested I was looking at the long term potential as described by Evolution's 'Trade of the Decade' comments last Autumn.

Still, you don't get these type of returns from a Bank account!

i think we should hold on for more. There getting this very cheap considering the potential here. Was at least hoping for £1.50 Min imho.

From FGN RNS today:

On 23 February 2010, the Company announced that it had received an approach regarding a possible offer for FuturaGene Plc from a third party. Since that date, discussions and due diligence have continued, and an offer of 90p cash per share is announced today.

Well done all holders. ;-)

Now where to invest is the next question? More BAO maybe, especially with good news pending.

My screen not showing anything. Not even my trade at 64p. I think we have the last ditch attempt to wash out the weak holders before the offer.

Not sure what you mean by that. Shares are very hard to come by. Still think we have a take over play here.

Indeed, but likely to be a lot poorer if the Greeks default on all of their bonds in his large portfolio!

Just went after 23k of these at 65p. Had to settle for 10k at 71p and a worked trade for the rest.

I see FUL (up 67% today) were in discussions for 23 weeks!! The Board's attitude was 'if discussions are continuing we don't have to tell you anything'. As we are now 'only' 9 weeks since the approach was announced, I hope things move faster than that. Interestingly there was a 100,000 buy of FUL just before the close yesterday. I'm sure that was just a shrewd investment decision...lol

Credit Agricole are one of the largest of the French domestic banks. I used to work for a telecomms subsiduary of theirs a few years ago. Don't understand why the transaction was only notified yesterday though; lets hope NinjaPete's observation is portentious.
Cheers

CA are very large. They have adverts practically every 10 mins on Bloomberg with Sean Connery. Aforementioned ads are very very annoying!
