27/1/2004 18:29 | dcuss.......... Agree that timing the sale side is always more difficult than a purchase decision. Unfortunately, markets don't always follow logic in the short or even medium term but my personal view is that you ignore the fundamentals at your peril. They always reassert themselves at some point: hence my comment about TFC if shafts of reality (possibly via the numbers) come in to play! All this said, I think that a lot of specky money is still playing the property market and when that goes pop it will be shares that benefit! Not following Photo-Me so unable to comment but if you any situation where you have tripled your money why not take out your original investment and run the profit? That way you get shares for nothing! Keep smiling. | ygor705
25/1/2004 19:10 | ygor705 I have been in TFC since 33p but it is knowing when to get out !!!!!!!!!! What are your thoughts on Photo-me have been a lot term holder of this one getting a bit impatient. Is it time to take profits ??????????? All my friends always say "there is never a bad time to take a profit" but I always take it either to late or miss it altogether. Have a good week. | d cuss
20/1/2004 14:50 | d cuss - Looked at TFC last week.............I think that it has lost touch with its fundamentals. Don't think that I would want to be a holder when the company actually announces numbers! | ygor705

15/1/2004 20:16 | d cuss ......... Have a look at PHP..........very solid and conservative but a good investment with a heavyweight yield and good prospects. Likewise Hardy & Hanson. At the racier end my Investment Club are doing very well out of Alphameric and William Hill. We have also nibbled at Pipex, Zoo Digital and CENES but these three are not for widows and orphans! Good luck. | ygor705
12/1/2004 20:44 | ygor705 Any other interesting stock on your watch list that might tempt me?? DJC | d cuss
12/1/2004 17:12 | Still ticking up nicely on smallish volume.............m | ygor705
03/1/2004 19:47 | ygor705 Totally agree!!!!!!!. It all depends on Sir James Fuller, Anthony Fullers nephew and the rest of the family. may the northward direction continue all the best DJC | d cuss
02/1/2004 17:48 | dcuss Taking the company private is always an option .......... especially if the Directors/Family see a big windfall around the corner that they don't want to share with everybody else! I've always suspected Fullers of having undervalued assets in the balance sheet and South East property prices haven't been exactly static in recent years. Fullers is almost as big a property as a brewery play I suspect. Plenty of City vulture funds would trip over themselves to assist in gearing up the operation. But in the end it all depends on what the family want to do and I'm not sure how firmly they are wedded to the business these days. Can understand why Directors want to buy back shares......it increases the future EPS line for very little effort......which makes them look good. In a thin market like Fullers it can also sustain the share price for everybody - provided the fundamentals hold up. Anyway, the price seems to be moving in the right direction at the moment on modest volumes. Let's hope the trend continues. Happy New Year. | ygor705
31/12/2003 19:42 | ygor705 Yes R Spinney is pushing. Fullers with money in the kitty and a very big desire to buy back shares and not increase the divi to the same proportion. Is the idea to take the company private. Each time the shares are bought by the company it is stated this the best use for the funds and offers the best return for the shareholders. IS IT ???????????. happy new year to all your DJC | d cuss
20/12/2003 13:29 | Its got a deal with Tesco to give it an option on the Master Brewer site at Hillingdon. Worth potentially 18 million against mkt cap of about 85. Interesting.` | mw8156
18/12/2003 09:13 | The £6 barrier has finally been broken thamks to the proposed Tesco's deal which will further enhance their respective property valuations within the balance sheet let alone help reduce the debt eventually. | red army
17/7/2003 00:18 | Yes I am out here spotdog40 any idea why this share has started moving now | d cuss
29/4/2003 19:43 | A company with freehold properties generates cash makes profit growing bottom line defensive properties good looking chart WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? | red army
20/1/2003 09:35 | There seems to be only me and Fullers buying these shares. Look at 1)the NAV vs share price 2)Continued profitability 3)Unique quality product-London Pride 4)Diverse business: Brewery, Pubs,Hotels 5)Sensible dividend. Is it a no-brainer? Anyone want to join me in a takeover bid. We sell all the London properties, bank the money, and just keep making the beer. | spotdog40
15/11/2002 08:22 | Good set of results today. Outlook uncertain but low p/e still. | red army
13/11/2002 19:02 | Could someone please tell me as to why these shares are so undervalued given the expected profit for the year end and the current market cap. I realise that they have one or two motel operations but there beer is good and they have a good selection of pubs in good locations. Its times like these that people turn to drink :-) Results Friday | red army
23/3/2001 17:59 | I have recently purchased a sizeable stake in this business. I suggest others take a look at it. Net assets per share are over £6 and its gearing is under 5%. The management is very conservative. Underlying EPS for March 2002 are likely to be over 50p per share. Interest on the new hotels that are being built is being charged to the P&L account and not capitalised. There premium beer brands are developing an outstanding reputation and sales at both home and overseas are growing very nicely. The share have been as high as six pounds twenty (they did drop to 345p). The graph is very interesting. SAM | mymansam |
