I don't see how the shares being returned will impact on AFR, the article isn't specific so it's impossible to work out the impact, although it does mention shares, so if they're owned by a third party, that's no issue for other shareholders. Hope you had a good one...

lets see :-) but likewise they need deep pockets to keep the value in the company and not via JV's etc...

RUR, if you have some punt money, I'd have 50K shares just for fun! Please read the thread, very confident there, but I wont cry over spilt milk and start emailing people with lies if I suddenly go 70% down lmao...

Nothing new, no, although IFL have improved since I bought (think thats one of the newer "babies"). I will investigate RUR over the weekend if I get time.

> Because they need bluechip exposure.

Why so when the backers have such deep pockets? I wonder when JMS will annouce another acquistion/project? (coal/iron ore?). Can't be long.

Because they need bluechip exposure. Likewise, I am more interested IN RRR's GPR Gross Royalty Production Royalty than anything else. I suspect there could be an IPO on that as well, that is one for the SIPP.

You looking at anything new? TC F

You've been buying JMS? Good one. Not bought any foreign stocks before.

Did you listen to the conf call on Miningmaven? I'd be interested in your take on the question/answer about why were they even bothering with a listing. It was a question I found fascinating.

I like JMS very much btw.

Nice turn Bones, PCI I'm 10 pence and in the headlamps over...although I have a small gold stock reading to take off in 2 weeks to then take the profit to buy a wendy house with haha. Do you remember the small gold stock I mentioned? NYO? Well perhaps it's time to load up...AST, I traded since the news and have got two 20% swings, although I'd have liked to be able to sell knowing the placing was coming but I wasn't as I was inside at the time. Oh how lucky I would have been to sell before being made inside! Alas I wasn't so lucky...

I'll be typing NYO mid November as I have to pay for building works!

RUR isn't too bad for a non ISA stock. If you're stuffed to the brim with ISA's then buy some RUR (Roar) lol.

SLV just have some slippage on little volume, I wont worry about that...

I have also been buying Juptier Mines on the ASX as well as a tiddler! :-)

Hope the Gammon was good, one of my favourites, any meat for that matter.

Also RUR looks great. But been trying to stay away from AIM as much as possible. ISA trading only for me. (I don't sbet because it probably wouldn't be a good idea *smirk* and I don't want to pay any CGT this year if I can help it).

Except XTR and AST (AST made a good few % in two days, not bad!).

Added some AGQ back today as well since its come down a bit (used the OMI cash). Simon Cawkwell tipped it today (not sure he's tipped it before) and its one I felt uneasy being out of so wth.

Gammon, egg and chips for us tonight. Brain settled down.

Disappointed with SLV. We wait.

Bought a few XTR yesterday. Having made a decent wack on them last time it had a good run have added a few just below the 2p mark. The price action since I bought has been telling IMO. It appears to "want" to rise looking at the trades, and was fairly punished, but these companies regroup, rethink and often end up stronger for it. Not sure if you've followed it?

Sold most of my OMI for a really decent profit so happy with that. I fear it may rise more, but a profit is a profit and I'm pretty careful at the moment. I suspect there will not be a lot of newsflow in the near future perhaps presenting another entry point.

RGM I feel the fundamentals improve each day. Its built on the foundations of its holding of Red Rock shares which in turn are built on the foundations of JMS, which looks to be more solid of late. The PNG project/JV appears to be in for practically nothing once this is taken into account and this is just a bonus IMO.

PCI has been disappointing too, but the drilling campaign has now been announced as beginning in November so we should see things improve from then on.

As for general markets I feel this:

... is a better indicator of what may be about to happen as this:

Possibly AIM just got hit because of Falkland oilers? Or is the market peaking?

Haven't made my mind up yet.

I note HSN had an interesting RNS announcement today. If it falls back I may grab a few.

Evening FJP. Bit unnerved today to be honest. I think its from not having had a multibagger for at least a week! ;-)

Cooking for the wife at the moment, will post something more thoughtful later once my brain recovers from this week!

Good Evening,

Nice Day Bones??...I trust you've got some RUR! I had some very interesting discussions this week about Cluff Gold, I'd advise some reading there.

Ian, I watched it thanks some very useful things like DNS's aren't secret they merely hide the persons IP from that site, you can request it from the DNS lmao. Let idiots get on with it.

Some good action next week, but some will be caught well on the back foot lmao!!

Take care, Fraser

Thanks FJP, and I trust you're doing ok too. Actually feeling pretty awful today, the most uncomfortable thing I think you can agree, man flu!

Re: buy high, that was a little tongue in cheek, I'm sure you'll understand. I just don't buy at the top of charts these days, its bad for my sanity.

I used to get tempted all the time.

Been reading The Zulu Principle for the first time. (I dare say you consider it a "for dummies" book). Enjoying it. Was recommended Robbie Burn's book when I started investing by a friend and felt it was perhaps responsible for my over-trading. I have since developed my own style/strategies. Don't get me wrong for a newbie it's got some useful stuff, but it wasn't written with the volitility of 2008 in mind! I have a copy of Antony Bolton's book which I've only skimmed through and need to give some time at some point too.

And yeah, Jura, whisky.

Hooe you're well Bones, don't know your name but hope all is well.

Is it buy high? look at ounces per annum, forecasts etc...I could be wrong, but long term, not sure if you think like that, it'll be worth while.

PNA, not sure of either, as councils are employing people to go round saving costs!!

Hope you enjoyed your Jura? Whisky?Whiskey? Makes me bad lol

PNA was pushed at the bottom of the credit crunch as a counter-cyclical. The idea is they help companies make people redundant. Consultants.

I absolutely kicked myself because I bought some at the bottom (it was when I was fairly new to this game) and didn't hold long enough to make a turn.

I'm wondering if another opportunity is presenting itself.

Problem is its AIM, and I've used my annual allowance this year, so trying to stick with ISA-able stuff.

AGLD, thanks for pointing it out - will have to have a gander.
Edit: just looked... buy high is it?

Having a drop of Jura tonight, nice drop.

Additionally have been watching Penna (PNA) which seems to be coming out of the doldrums. Perhaps being before interims?
