Very quite here. Are there any news how production is going? When the CEO is going to give us an update?

I am not suggesting the video shows anything other than than a small glimpse of the Benkala plant. I posted it on III (Dot Commie), purely out of interest, as it was the only video I could find.
I have yet to see a start up mining company that did not have debt. At least the assets far outweigh the debt & they are now able to service the debt from production. They say, production is rapidly increasing, this along with the 27% reduction in the workforce & the large reductions in electricity & sulphuric acid costs, should show much better figures this year.
Debt in a company is useful, if the money is used for infrastructure & virtually all of it has been spent on buildings, plant, machinery & leach pad construction.

I repeat, what does the video show other than a plant exists in the outback?

As to FML "covering all operational & fixed costs at Benkala", it's questionable whether this includes "debt repayments", which have been temporarily suspended through negotiations with creditors.

In any case, knowing FML's dark porkie history when it comes to official statements,
who in their right mind accepts any statement as gospel, until it's proven?

What matters now is the result of the much modified mining processes put in place of the past production failures, which will not be known for another few months.
As a reminder, FML's debt 3 mts ago was $81.8m and growing.

vizz. Then it just goes to show how much progress they have made, as the last statement said production of copper was now covering all operational & fixed costs at Benkala. Onwards & upwards from here.
Fixed costs include loan payments.
Since the video was not aimed at England & was filmed in the middle of nowhere in Kasakhstan, it's hardly surprising they are not speaking English.

Not sure what a youtube video 14 mts old in Kaz language tells a Brit punter?
...other than a plant at the time that was commercially a failure.

These are obviously risky but I think there are definitely buyers about. Copper is trading at a 7 month high but finding a good play is harder than Kryptonite.

Looks like there is a demand for these, in the background at least. Can currently sell 800,000 online but cannot get a quote to buy.

Frontier Mining up 24% following the release of operational results

Yerkin Abdrakhmanov, Mariyam Zhumadil - December 12, 2013

PDF version

According to the operational report published by Frontier Mining yesterday, during July-November 2013 the company extracted 280 296 tons of copper bearing ore at an average grade of 1.05%, containing 2,942 tons of copper.

However, the total production for the first ten months of 2013 amounted to just 1 386 tons of copper cathode, of which 919 tons was produced in the 2H2013. We estimate that total sales volumes for 10M2013 amounted to 1,170 tons of copper cathode, which at the average realized price of $6,979 per ton reported by the company, implies revenue of $8.2mn. According to the company sales revenue is 'now sufficient to cover Benkala production costs and company overheads'. The reported average preliminary cash cost stood at $3,724 per ton, which is 11.8% below our full-year estimate.

Additionally, the company has implemented a number of cost cutting initiatives. Sulfuric acid supplies for 2014 were secured at 'less than 75% of the pricing levels of 2012', staff headcount at Benkala was reduced by 27% and the electricity supply contract for 2014 was agreed at a 20% discount to 2013 price . On top of that, the management deferred the repayment of Sberbank loan until September 2014. The repayment of CAES and Red Kite facilities was rescheduled into 2014 as well.

The stock price surged by 24% to 1.3 GBp following the announcement .

Our view. The operational results are broadly in line with our estimates and thus have a largely neutral impact on our valuation. We reduce our FY2013 production estimate from 1,700 tons to 1,590 tons as actual production results for 10M2013 are marginally below our forecast. We note that previously we have based our production forecast for 2013 on the lower end of the management guidance of 1,700 - 2,100 tons. In our model we have made the following changes to our FY2013 estimates: decreased cash costs by 9.5% to $3,800 per ton, increased slightly average realized sale price and reduced production forecast. As a result our revenue estimate for FY2013 has been trimmed by 7% to $11.1mn, EBITDA increased from negative $0.1mn to $0.3mn and net loss estimate has narrowed by 2% to $6.5mn.

We increase marginally our 12M target price to 2.23 GBp per share and maintain a Buy recommendation.

One rare day in the sun for FML pis, now normal service is resumed.

Selling ahead of almost inevitable AIM delisting.

Strong sell.

Noideacat...you know, as well as I do, you have struggled badly to generate something to tackle me with. I've always been right...that's your problem. Your 'analysis' above is inaccurate, as was your contention FML had 60,000,000 shares shorted.

You're trapped. Desperate. Humiliated. Live with your mistakes, don't deny them.

Strong sell ahead of delisting.

So noideacat thinks FML is a "bargain"! lol A tempting analysis from someone who was convinced there were 60,000,000 shorted shares on FML & told everyone about it on this BB for weeks. A tempting analysis from someone who has trashed his retirement fund on FML & is now trapped here.

Rarely have I heard a totally insolvent company described a s/hldr "bargain".

Enjoy the remaining 364 day slide till the next AGM shambles - however I suspect delisting will occur well before then.

Get out while it is still listed imo. Strong sell.

I for one am fed up with the rev gluttons multiple threads & best ignored.

The market will have had time to digest the latest news & the share price will act according to their take on FML's future.
It certainly looks a bargain at the current price, given the upbeat news, especially the intention to produce all winter & Benkala being cash generative. The amounts of copper produced during winter will be much lower than summer, but will be good unexpected revenue of two or three million dollars, depending on the harshness of the winter.

glutton. You stated that over 100 million shares pledged for a loan payable next year had been sold. The shares will have to be bought & returned.
You conveniently forget what you write, if it suits your ramping, or deramping phase.
So who is the fool? You on a daily basis.
It is pointless to argue reason with an idiot, so ramble on. Nobody listens to you.

Noideacat, you stated multiple times FML had 60,000,000 shares shorted.

That's why you continue to look a fool every time to attempt to be authoritative on anything. It's also why you have blown your Barclays retirement fund in a few short weeks, & are now a) desperate b) trapped.

I wish to 'avoid' paying a mortgage.

FML's refusal to rule out delisting on AIM, when it was specifically offered to them on a platter, is VERY bad news for AIM pis.

As good as done imo as soon as they get the chance & the price returns to well below a penny.

Strong sell before relentless downward price trajectory/delisting/liquidation occurs.
