Didn't know there was a presentation, I know Foxtons met with reps from Barratts Homes, maybe that could be it perhaps ??. |
Anyone went to the presentation this week ? |
High praise indeed, thank you Gargoyle. Let's have a wager, I say BC Partners will be instrumental in a bid for Foxtons. You disagree. The loser donates £500 to any charity of their choosing on the JustGiving website so everyone can see that the 'loser' has honoured their bet ?? Agree. |
Perhaps Skipton Building Society could buy Foxtons, they seem to like Estate Agencies more than they like mortgage lending. |
Ivan, I see you're still banging the BC Partners drum under your other handle on the LSE board. Given that both you and the 'LSE poster' only ever post about FOXT, and only ever positively, it's pretty obvious that you're the same person. A Foxtons employee even, maybe. |
Ah ok, it must be fake news then best also to email Sharecast as well as their website also shows BC Partners as holding just over 62 million shares of Foxtons. All this 'fake' news eh, where do they find these people ??hxxps://sharecast.com/equity/Foxtons_Group/director-deals |
Ivan, I took up your suggestion and emailed the company. Here's today's response from Investor Relations re BC Partners: "I’m unable to open the link so can’t comment on it directly. However, I can say we have not received nor circulated any filings indicating that BC Partners has bought or holds 20% of Foxtons Group plc shares. For context, BC Partners owned Foxtons between 2007 – 2013, and held a portion of shares post IPO in September 2013. Those were sold down over the next 12-18 months. It may be the case that the users on the bulletin boards are referencing this post-IPO holdings that was subsequently sold down."
That should put an end to any more discussion about BC, imo. Fake news. |
And yet another buyer in the market for Foxtons shares today and with the Rightmove news looks like things are about to get very interesting indeed ! 🤑 |
If it's 'fake' information to which you refer then just email Foxtons management or get that website to remove it as it's still there. In both instances I guarantee your success rate will be zero !! |
Give it a break, Ivan. You just have to look at th trades, the order book and the diraction of the share price to know that there's a seller about. And stop banging on abot BC Partners -- that's fake news, as you know. |
And now buying them all back......good grief !! 😂 |
Oooh, 30,000 shares split four ways in the order book first thing to give the impression of a 'seller'just back from their holidays. It's going to be a fun week and I will gladly help myself to a few more along the way just like our friends at Martin Currie and BC Partners 😘 |
You're probably right. Just like how Martin currie and their 15.7m share purchase of Foxtons set the price alight. 😀 |
Good attempt at a ramp Ivan. There's no way that BC Partners has 20% out of the blue. If they did, you'd expect the price to be rising and much bigger volume. |
Looks like that 20% holding of Foxtons by BC Capital has got people talking. Out last night with friends and general consensus was that a bid is most likely to come sooner now than later now the news is out there. It's probably why we've only seen 649 shares traded so far this morning and shorting funding rates in Foxtons shares now in double digits. Roll on this afternoon !! 😘 |
Just looking into BC Partners and they sold their last and final stake in Foxtons back in 2015 and now they have just over 62m shares or a shade over 20% of Foxtons if we ignore the 30m odd shares Foxtons have in their numerous reserves. Tomorrow could be fun ahead of everyone returning to their desks on Monday after the long holiday season. |
Oooh, looks like those posts on the other forum yesterday have touched a nerve, market makers not happy. Chance to pick up some cheap stock as long as it's no more than 15,000 shares !! 😆 |
You would have thought so but these hedge funds are unto a law to themselves and have a mantra say if they can make around £500m here and get fined £50m for late reporting of trades it's good business sense. Believe me I've been in stocks before where hedge funds have completely destroyed the value of a company with the ultimate end game of picking it up on the cheap, here's another one. |
BC cannot have amassed a 20% stake in FOXT without an RNS imo. This must be an old holding number in my view. They sold out in 2014 and my guess is that this is just a hangover from that. I hope I'm proved worng though. |
It can't be out of date, if anything it's right up to date by the looks of it, as it has the latest holdings by Converium and Platinum whom sold shares this Summer and has that 15.7m shares bought by Martin Currie announced just last week. Looks like the game play is well and truly on if you ask me !! |
Can that really be correct? There's been no holdings RNS from BC, and Sharepad shows the largest shareholder being 3G Capital with 9.46% (they last increased in November last year). Must be an out-of-date reference to BC imo. |
Wow, just wow !!! Just reading the other forum and BC Partners have over 20% of Foxtons !! So back for another bite of the cherry eh,it will cost them a bit more than £400m as it did back in 2007 but at least their timing is better this time round !!!! |
Nice. Throw in the fact that some homeowners that are currently sitting on huge Capital gains will be looking to cash in for fear of a huge tax bill come 1st November. Lettings booming again for Foxtons, all looking extremely good and could Foxtons smash all records ??? Looking likely to me 😉 |
