Posted at 03/9/2024 11:56 by gargoyle2 Ivan, I took up your suggestion and emailed the company. Here's today's response from Investor Relations re BC Partners: "I’m unable to open the link so can’t comment on it directly. However, I can say we have not received nor circulated any filings indicating that BC Partners has bought or holds 20% of Foxtons Group plc shares. For context, BC Partners owned Foxtons between 2007 – 2013, and held a portion of shares post IPO in September 2013. Those were sold down over the next 12-18 months. It may be the case that the users on the bulletin boards are referencing this post-IPO holdings that was subsequently sold down."That should put an end to any more discussion about BC, imo. Fake news. |

Posted at 15/5/2024 09:54 by onedb1 Big 5m trade went through . Big pockets exchanging shares here . Have to wonder if this is happening then it may be the prelude to new investor positioning and a take over ? This much interest is clearly bullish . Not sold 1 on this last trade . |
Posted at 21/4/2024 15:05 by techno20 Suspect it’s one of the activist investors trying to pile on further pressure. Given the level of recurring income, potential for growth and iconic brand, think they’ll be plenty of interest. Personally, I’d prefer to see it continue to recover / grow, than see yet another UK plc be taken over. But doubt that will happen! |

Posted at 04/1/2024 08:38 by montynj RESEARCH REPORT 3 January 2024 FOXTONS GROUP PLC: TAKEOVER BID IN 2024 Foxtons Group plc is one of Britain's best-known real estate agents. After a leadership change 18 months ago, the long-suffering company is thriving once again. Against the backdrop of rapid consolidation of the British estate agency sector, Foxtons is likely to become a bid target before too long. Rival Chestertons has already been taken over by private equity, and the investors controlling Foxtons' fate prefer a sale of the company. The stock is currently trading at an 2024 EV/EBITDA of |
Posted at 03/1/2024 20:14 by indiestu A question for an informed investor (there must be one stalking out there). I remember the rise in 2020 but I can't remember why the fall back was so dramatic which does concern me somewhat. What would be different this time around to sustain the value. Just considering whether to exit into strength or hold for long term returns and dividends. |
