Suspect it’s one of the activist investors trying to pile on further pressure. Given the level of recurring income, potential for growth and iconic brand, think they’ll be plenty of interest. Personally, I’d prefer to see it continue to recover / grow, than see yet another UK plc be taken over. But doubt that will happen!

Good solid support @ 35p, not out of the woods but investors sniffing around for recovery plays once the rate hikes are over and cuts begin by the summer.

RESEARCH REPORT 3 January 2024 FOXTONS GROUP PLC: TAKEOVER BID IN 2024 Foxtons Group plc is one of Britain's best-known real estate agents. After a leadership change 18 months ago, the long-suffering company is thriving once again. Against the backdrop of rapid consolidation of the British estate agency sector, Foxtons is likely to become a bid target before too long. Rival Chestertons has already been taken over by private equity, and the investors controlling Foxtons' fate prefer a sale of the company. The stock is currently trading at an 2024 EV/EBITDA of

A question for an informed investor (there must be one stalking out there). I remember the rise in 2020 but I can't remember why the fall back was so dramatic which does concern me somewhat. What would be different this time around to sustain the value. Just considering whether to exit into strength or hold for long term returns and dividends.

I have just looked on the website again, and have done all Summer. Here's the link under the title 'upcoming Events' :-

hxxps://www.foxtonsgroup.co.uk/investor-relations. It still says 20th October 2023. Where are you seeing the 26th ??

Q3 trading update is on Thursday 26 October, not on Friday as indicated on Sharepad and elsewhere -- see the Foxtons website (under Investor Relations, Financial Calendar).

Investor presentation at 3pm tomorrow (Tue 28th). Register online to watch.
Should be quite insightful in advance of both ex-div date and trading update, both in April.

You do go on and on about Aston Martin (where I made 40% profit) ... keep trolling, it's funny really

Anyway, good to see that Foxtons is buying back its shares at lows for the year rather than the other way round

It will be taken out, it makes money and has no debt, the rentals portfolio must be worth little fortune now to investors who want a steady trickle of money ..

A pullback wouldn't be that much of a surprise. If you think about it, many holders got taken by surprise by the size of the drop from 70p or so to 30p. That means many investors that didn't close out, got locked in and ended up sat on a loss. Some/many of those investors will be wanting to drop some or all of their holdings as the price rises and reduces their losses. If the price starts to drop (it can drop 1.5-2p in the blink of an eye as we saw today, that could trigger to get out rather than sit on a loss for a 2nd time. My personal view is that even if there is a pullback, the share price will rise again afterwards. Looks like we could even touch 45p today.
