One other possibility is that the Lee Enterprises, the owners of TownNews, intend using Blackbird to service the newspapers owned by Berkshire Hathaway, which they are now running for Warren Buffett on a 5 year deal. This would expand the TownNews stream of income further for FBT. The Buffett deal is already gaining favourable comment in the US for Lee and only a little digging would be needed to find the use of Blackbird is core to their TownNews strategy. If somebody wanted exposure to the technology but wasn't so keen on an involvement in printed news a direct investment in FBT which is a pure digital play might make sense.

All that is clear is someone or something has started paying attention to our Blackbird tech, or found a way to make money out of a small free float, all the rest is spec.

Besides the exceptional volume is the fact that the next purchase price seems totally unrelated to the previous sale price. Either the MM is having difficulty keeping pace with the rate at which deals are being done or....?


My own view is that our MM is far to small and frankly not up to the job, particularly going forward.


It is typical that this turbulence commences just as I am about to be in an area where the BB signal is at best 1MB and more usually 0. I wonder if Blackbird could help to get news?

Investors here knew about the products months before announcement with many being depressed!

Maybe just traders so expect volatility to shake them out?

The wins have been mainly in the USA so perhaps FBT has come to their notice and somebody over there is building a stake? No obvious reason why this should happen now and not at IBC when the product announcements were made.
