Tin still rising - read on LSE bout Myanmar being halted as tin producer / miner ?3rd largest in the world. |
Fair comment. |
Bill Scotting's buy is way too small to really take notice of. I do note the tin price once again swinging higher - this to me would be much more important. The massive snag is the company needs more money and until this is announced / secured, I can't see the shares really doing anything. |
Here we go. Glad I kept the faith. |
Possible double bottom on the chart if we can climb from here. That would be a bullish reversal signal. |
I only take into account when directors are buying hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of shares in their own company and not just a few thousand. |
First purchase of shares by newly appointed CEO Bill Scotting. Mr. William (Bill) Scotting, Chief Executive Officer at the Company, has purchased 200,000 shares in First Tin at a price of GBP 4.54 pence per share on Monday 8 January 2024.Let's hope he continues to buy more whilst we are in the doldrums. |
When it comes to their share price, for mining exploration companies there are many other factors to take into account other than the price of the commodity such as the quality of the management, licences, local infrastructure, how the ore body is constructed etc. |
But just because the share price was X when the tin price was Y, it does not follow that the share price will recover to X if the tin price recovers to Y. The story is no longer intact. 1SN is certainly still a geared play on the tin price, but it is like a way, way out of the money option. |
OMG loganair...don't say you're in here as well...
and SRB, etc.
I thought you knew nothing about mining stocks...? |
Up 3.13%.
Frankly my 4 million is mainly a naked Tin Price play...
If you look back 1SN floated at 30p and rose to 32.25 on a 45,000 tin price
Which gives some idea of the potential...
Gold, silver, copper are breaking out...only a matter of time before tin does...
Indeed it might well have started when it broke 25k earlier this month
28,400...30,600...and we're off to the races!
AIMO |
Nice move in tin price :) |
On my scale of -5 to +5 I give what was said a -3.
Taronga...
1. Low grade ore body. 2. Requires permit. 3. Hopefully 1Q 2025 permits will be issued. 4. 2026 production doable which most probably means production will not start until 2027 at the earliest. 5. When asked, did not answer question about further funding for the mine.
2028 may get German mine into operation, again waffled answer about funding.
All the CEO seemed to want to talk about are the things that do not really matter and didn't want to answer any questions on the things that really matter. |

RNS about Bill Scotting joining as the CEO on the 16th Nov. Perhaps a turning point. |
Looks like this may have bottomed around 4.25p on the 15th Nov. |
Sorry and me lol |
Thank you and hope at some stage you get your money back like me... |
We were all conned at the ipo. Avoid Primary Bid is my new moto. The question now is whether to average down or not and when. If they do a fund raise it could go lower perhaps but I'm no expert as my original buy at 30p is now an utter disaster. |
It's all about how much the company now raises and at what price |
The new man has skin in the game, a good choice IMO Back to IPO levels please :-) |
Guess need for raise has been main part of conversation - new broom now - raise to sort ? |
Maybe, with hindsight, this will be a turning point. Not back in yet, but will look again once the market has had time to digest this news. |
CEO gone - shocker really but maybe was needed |
