Yeah but the thing is people can't resist following in and of course he knows this despite all the warnings. You only have to see the intraday volume increase when he declares he has bought something. It's very easy to post buys and sells after the event - i am being a tad cynical but I could do this and declare I am minting it. Don't get me wrong but quite a lot of what he says in his books is fine but I just feel he is a bit of a stealth pumper nowadays and very easily breaks his own rules

I get what you're saying DavR0s, and there is definitely some evidence of him not folllowing his own methods, you only have to look at some of his recent trades and there are businesses not making any profit or next to nothing which is against any advice I have read from him. In his defence, he repeats many times that he does not advise anyone to copy his own trades as he often doesn't put them on his website until at least a couple of weeks after he places them.

You can't fault his track record though, I believe the running profit total at the top of his website is only a fraction of what he has actually made, he had far more than that in accounts that I saw at his seminar.

Got to be careful with RB - he has a reputation for not following his own method. Also he has form of buying, declaring as such and selling but only telling folks weeks after the events - cynics would say he sold into the strength he generated. I have read his books and there is useful stuff in there but I moved on many years ago as I could see what he was up to

To be fair I'm following Robbie Burns (Naked Trader) methods, I've read all of his books and attended one of his zoom seminars, and his way seems to be working for me so far. But thanks for the suggestion I may take a look.

If you're starting out you could do a lot worse than read everything Peter Lynch has written.
Here's a speech he did in 1994 - it'll give a flavour of his thinking.

Thanks 29palms, I'm only a very small investor as I'm only just at the begining of building my portfolio, but everyone had to start somewhere :-)

I bought the morning after StockSlam at a little under 35. My buy triggered an increase and only gone one way since! Currently about 10% up in less than 2 days of trading and it looks massively undervalued with the profits they're posting.

Nice new all time high this morning.
Even hitting a new all time high this is still under the radar of investors at large IMO

Looking for an ever increasing share price up to release of finals in July, albeit with profit takers along the road.

As always DYOR

Both FCAP and CNKS have relatively small market caps, and both have witnessed reasonable Director Buying in recent times.

So approx cash adjusted PE of 6 and growing at a stonking rate.
Brilliant stuff.
I've been reading through the CNKS annual reports and the standout factor for these businesses is the cyclical nature of them. As revenue grows the profits that fall to the bottom line are many multiples, proportionally, of the increase in revenue.
An 83% increase in revs can be a 500% increase in bottom line profit for example.
The hard part is predicting the cycle accurately.

Great.
I expect FCAP will certainly receive more attention as time ticks along.
I like Sam Smiths target of 100m per year in revenue. Might get there quicker than they first thought.
I also bought a small snippet of CNKS.
The whole sector is going great guns at the moment.
