FINDERS RESOURCES LIMITED
Wetar Copper Project Update-First copper plated
Finders advise that on Saturday 6th February, that copper cathode
plating commenced in the electrowinning circuit at its Wetar Copper
demonstration plant.
A subsequent minor electrical component failure in the electrowinning
circuit is currently being remedied and it is expected that the plant
will resume production of copper cathode in approximately 1 week and
will reach nameplate capacity of 5 tpd of copper cathode by the end
of February.
All other components of the operation, including the mine, crushing,
stacking, irrigation and solvent extraction are operating in line
with design specifications.
Chris Farmer, Managing director commented:
"We are very pleased that the demonstration plant is now complete,
initial take up of copper into the leach solutions has been excellent
and happy to report the start of copper plating. Other than the
minor electrical issue, the commissioning process for the
demonstration plant has been trouble free."
