MESQUIDA Sorry that I have not got back to you sooner (I have been over in France stocking up on wine for Christmas ).

In answer to your question; the main reason for investing in Filtronic is because of their long standing connection with Nokia.
As the world moves towards 5G ,big networks such ad T-Mobile,Sprint and Verizon are looking to Nokia to meet their needs and it just so happens that Filtronic,s mMIMO technology fits the bill very nicely especially in the early stages of the rollout.
.Apparently Filtronic is just one of two suppliers . In addition to this The USA have stipulated that they do not buy from the Chinese so in my opinion the sky is the limit
as far as Filtronic is concerned but , as always, DYOR .

I can see the reason for (name) joining the board of a public company; it's a gravy train for life with no apparent downside. You would and I would too, and I wouldn't give a damn about company forecasts.

Haven’t a clue but cannot imagine that a potential NED would be given access to confidential financial info etc. before joining the Board. He has some very relevant experience though!

BEEKS - I think you will find that the afore mentioned rag (SCSW) regularly comes up with lots of winners and very ,very few losers. The shares in its portfolio regularly produce a return of twenty to thirty per cent, year in and year out !

Filtronic plc (AIM: FTC), the designer and manufacturer of antennas, filters and mmWave products and lots of other bit and bobs and complicated stuff that no one really understands for the wireless telecoms and critical communications markets, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new multi-year really big and very important agreement with a massive huge bigly and bloody important contractor to make lots of complicated state of the art stuff for use in things and new fangled gizmos. The agreement is subject to a production process qualification and other really boring stuff.

Rob Smith, CEO, said: "This is the big new announcement that ADVFN BB posters are waiting for, to have been selected as a supplier of these modules to this prestigious whoever blah bah waffle waffle. We have worked hard to develop opportunities etc etc more waffle and this contract flows from the successful ramping on our bulletin boards now watch the share price rocket.

Again the 11.48 am trade (mine!) is being shown as a sell when it is actually a BUY! What is going on here?
