He seems a sensible investor with a decent portfolio. Glad he's chosen filtronic. Filtronic have the most potential for rapid growth out of the London listed 4g plays.

Received a leaflet through the door today about 4g arriving in the local area and warning about disruption to free view tv with a number to call if you have free view.

could it be a direct transfer from one fund to another at a agreed price (hence the mid price) with MMs not having to find a home for any shares.

Filtronic, the designer and manufacturer of microwave electronics products for the wireless telecoms infrastructure market, provided an interim management statement for the period from 1 December 2012, with good progress being achieved with the LTE/4G mitigation filters, which has helped drive fourth quarter performance. With sales of these filters having commenced in March, the Company anticipates that current market forecasts for Wireless turnover and profit will be exceeded. In terms of the broadband business FY13 revenues and profits are expected to be in line with market expectations despite its delayed transition to production volumes on long term customer programmes from Q4 2013 to Q1 2014 of the next financial year. Overall, revenues are expected to be £38.5m, which together with profits are expected to exceed market expectations.

318,000 new 4G customers signed in the last five months by EE. 50% national 4G coverage by June. Filtronic may volatile but its wonderfully tradeable on the way up.

Looks like Robbie burns is back in filtronic No doubt there will be a upbeat article in the times and possibly the investors chronicle which should drive us up further and hopefully stay higher this time.

the market doesn't seem to think the IMS this Friday will be upbeat/positive,
lets hope they're wrong and just unnecessarily panic selling

Spring ims statement to be made no later than the 19th April. Market makers now trying to gather more shares together to sell after the statement I reckon.

Well folks.. The head and shoulders formation has spoken.. Looks sadly like the shares have broken down through the support level at about 59p. Hopefully buyers will emerge otherwise its a long drop to next support level,What frustrates is that their last statement talked clearly about wireless products driving over all numbers ahead of expectations ..

Anime and spirent have also fallen heavily in recent weeks. Broker downgrades for spirent and trading statement at anite has produced worries that anite may miss profit targets. Filtronics in the same 4g sector. May be a good idea to wait for the dust to settle
